Today on our Hot Seat we have a talented artist DzTownley with us. Let’s have a chat with him.
Twist Online : First of all introduce yourself to our readers?
DzTownley : I go by DzTownley, my name basically comes from my crew which is Dalezona and Townley which is the street I grew up on on. I’m from Lendale, Arizona and basically grew up here my whole life.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
DzTownley : Well first I’m broke, and I hate being broke. But I’ve always loved music not even specifically hip-hop just anything that made my ears feel good I fucked with. As far as people that inspired me, probably Lil Wayne would be the most influential. My brother used to play Wayne all the time when i was younger and till this day i still believe hes the greatest rapper ever.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release?
DzTownley : Jimmy Hoffa, I honestly got the name for the song from my homie, I just played it and asked him what I should call it. Its probably the best produced song so far, but most def more to come.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
DzTownley : It was the first song I actually got comments from on soundcloud. Its definitely my favorite.
Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
DzTownley : Definitely working in the studio, I love watching the whole process of something being in its raw form to its finished product.
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
DzTownley : Definitely hip-hop
Twist Online : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
DzTownley : First things first, I’m just trying to make some bread with this shit asap
Twist Online : Are you currently working on any other project?
DzTownley : I have an EP coming out probably next year, its gonna be about 5 songs. Something short that shows a lot of diversity in what I can do
