A Conversation With An Infinite Music Artist King Saylee
Today on our Hot Seat we have a very talented music artist King Saylee. Although he is fairly new into the music scene but he has already impressed the fans and critics with his work. Lets have a chat with him.
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
King Saylee :Hello readers, I Am King Saylee, an Infinite Music Artist that has been making music for the past 5 years. Since 2015 though I’ve really gone to another level seriously. I have had fun releasing singles and performing throughout Atlanta. I was born in Tallahassee, FL and at a young age I was always interested in a wide span of music. I wasn’t always focused on what the genre was or the category the music was placed in, if the tune resonated with me then I immediate took an interest in it. At times I feel I merge with the music weirdly becoming the actual sound waves vibrationally lol. The infinite music artist “title” represents being uncaged and free to do what you feel and that’s how I carry myself as a person and artist.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
King Saylee : Well, as I mentioned briefly before in a weird sense I feel like I am music, so it would be a pretty long list of influences. I wouldn’t want to short the input of all artist who came before me and who are currently making music now. This may sound cliché but I feel its always been apart of me way before birth. I know the way music makes me feel truly made me want to get into the industry. I have recently learned so much about the business side so i feel that is stamping me in for the long run.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent released EP “Elevation’?
King Saylee : ELEVATION is everything right now, I feel it gives fans a small insight to who I am and what I am about. If you ask anyone about King Saylee they will tell you he is all about Elevation. Elevation to me is truly a lifestyle that is about truth and increasing understanding of self by becoming the best “You” you can be. Its also about realizing the power within that some of us take for granted sometimes. This EP was really a freeing feeling product for me cause I was very hesitant to release a project commercially because of doubts and naysayers, but I had to ELEVATE and make the moves that I wanted to make thus bring this greatness to existence. I really hope this EP breaks folks through cages that it did for me.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
King Saylee :Good Twist Online, i released exactly one week ago on the 20th and since then fans have picked there favorite with seems to be “Saucin”. That’s the song where I have gotten the most feedback from. Another frequent comment on the EP is the exceptional quality of the entire project which excites me a bunch. I put a lot of time in this project and to get those responses have really opened the door for me to get better and surpass this. Oh I almost forgot, I’ve been in LA for the past three weeks and they have really embraced the music to the point where I performed at LA Live on the release date which was awesome!!!
Twist Online : Any particular track of the EP that’s your favorite?
King Saylee :I love all of them!!! but to be truthful though i have to go with “Believe In Love” because it carries a totally different vibe and I think where its placed on the EP gives it a greater sound difference being right after “Too Much” a very up beat song.
Twist Online : What attracts you more performing on stage or working in studios?
King Saylee : Those two experiences are both uniquely different and equally exciting weirdly. I have to go with working in the studio though. Its the creation process that gives it the edge over performing live. In the lab I feel like a magician, being able to lay down vocals and mix up the songs how I want to and guide others in the arrangement of there expressions on the song. I feel like a coach in the Lab for real for real. The vision and the ear for the craft.
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
King Saylee : I stated that I am an infinite artist and appreciate every genre but i would say hip-hop is one of my favorites mostly because of the rapping and messages placed in certain songs. 90s hip-hop really. I’ve recently have taken some interest house music but lets be quiet on that for now lol.
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
King Saylee : Plenty of goals!! short term and long… I want to release either a solo single or short mixtape before the summer. I also want to finally get this collaboration project released before the summer i won’t release the name now. I want to perform some songs on the EP while shooting videos and quickly get physical copies to my fans. I want to get more mercy before the summer too. Long term (like before the year ends and early next year) i want to perform overseas and i want to create my own tour (I’ve been on tour but not mine) I also want that full length album too. I’m extremely excited about these goals, so they will happen
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
King Saylee : Oh man, I kind of gave away some goodies for the upcoming projects a lil bit lol… I’m working on three projects right now. I have a session in MIA that i will be leaving out to soon to drop some heat for a collaboration tape. I have another collaboration tape with another talent artist that I feel we balance each other out very well. Im excited for my fans to hear how creative i can get with different beats and sounds. This is going to be a very energetic sight to see and feel. Everyday gets better!!!! ELEVATION!!!!
