A conversation with LA-based musician, songwriter, and artist ‘Dan Devon’

Today on our Hot Seat we have  multi-talented Dan Devon. Lets have a chat with him.

Twist Online : First of all introduce yourself to our readers?
Dan Devon : My name is Dan Devon. I’m a LA-based musician, songwriter, and artist from Orlando,Florida.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Dan Devon : I’ve always had a fondness for music. It’s almost as if if apart of me. So I think it’s the only way I can live happily. So I guess you can say it was by fate.

Twist Online :Tell us about your recent release ‘Restart’?
Dan Devon : Restart is political satire. It’s a song about if I became President of the United States.

Twist Online : We are impressed by another track “Alone” as well? Is there any inspiration behind this track?
Dan Devon : “Alone” is a breakup song. It’s a cinematic replay of my whole relationship in rewind – backwards.

Twist Online : What makes your style unique and different from others?
Dan Devon : An original sound. Originality has always been something I’ve always respected. It was more pronounced back in the 00’s, but now it’s a rare occurrence to run across a producer with signature sounds.

Twist Online : What attracts you more performing on stage or working in studios?
Dan Devon : Performing, I like to perform music whether on stage or at home making a track. I like to perform because I don’t necessarily need an audience to perform. Performing is another art in itself. It’s an art I’m hoping to master someday.

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Dan Devon : Jazz, it’s a genre that’s set the stage for everything else that we have.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Dan Devon : I am. I’m currently working on a EP that will be released this summer. You can stay tuned at dandevon.com
