DopeAMean : My name is DopeAMean. I was born in Columbus, Ga and raised about 30 min outside of metro Atlanta,Ga. I’m a Rapper, Producer, and Audio Engineer.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
DopeAMean : I was about 4-years old and I saw Will Smith’s I’m going to Miami Music Video. It happened at that moment but I don’t think I became fully conscious of it until later on in life.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release “Blue Faces“?
DopeAMean : It’s an album that I feel represents different stages of my life. The album was totally spontaneous but it all came together as if I had planed it. Blue Faces was just a metaphor for change.

Twist Online : Any particular track from the Album that’s your favorite?
DopeAMean : I can do whatever! It was produced in Sterling,Va about 6-months after I returned from Afghanistan. It was the first track I made when I got back. My joy in the studio was just like no other.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
DopeAMean : So far it’s been great. Some of the people I was in the army with gave me their personal reviews and it’s all positive stuff. I’m not breaking the top 100 yet, but I defiantly have started to see momentum towards what I’m seeking to accomplish.
Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
DopeAMean : Creating works of art that have the potentials of one day
outliving you. Preforming and making other people feel better. Making music that people explain to you that it help them get through a situation. The feelings you feel going through you as you create something good.
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
DopeAMean : Defiantly, drop my first billboard hit. Become a better Rapper, Producer, and Leader within my community. Leave a solid legacy. All these things are on my agenda.
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
DopeAMean : Yes, by the beginning of the year I hope to be dropping my mixtape Every-Thing Dope and maybe a few singles between now and then. Also I will be starting on my self titled album DopeAMean.
