A conversation with multi-talented Talie V

Today on our Hot Seat we have a talented and inspiring artist Talie V with us. Let’s have a chat with her

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Talie V :
Hello, My name is Talie V and I’m a singer-songwriter/ beatmaker from Miami, FL.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into the music industry?
Talie V :
Many people, eras and places have and do inspire me.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release “Air”?
Talie V :
I wrote Air after a fight I was having with Someone. It felt like they were not listening to me. I said to them “I might as well be talking to air!!” Anyways, I made this beat on the computer the day after. I started to sing in it and I came up with “I might as well be talking to Air.” I thought the concept of not feeling heard was common in most relationships. Even with my personal relationship with God. When we come to someone or something with our hurt, hopes, or worries. We want to feel like they are listening and care.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Talie V :
I posted a video on my Instagram and I loved that people understand the vibe I was going for. I had mad people saying they felt like they were going to float away! That excited me so much because that’s exactly what I was going for in production.

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Talie V :
I CAN NEVER Talie V THIS!! I LOVE MOST MUSIC!!! Top three would have to be TRIPHOP/ LOFI, Rock music, Hip-hop. I’m the kind of person that can listen to metal one day and candy techno the next. Yes, I even like country music!!! If I had to pick my least favorite it would be polka music… even then you would probably see me get down to it.

Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Talie V :
The best part of being a music artist is seeing your ideas come to life. Then seeing how people react to it and relate to it.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Talie V :
YES!! While I’m working on projects and getting my foot in the door with acting. I am also striving to obtain my bachelors in music production from full sail university.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Talie V :
I’m so excited because I just opened up my pro account with Beat stars and I’m releasing new beats and vocal packs. That way people can take my vocals and create remixes and instruments too. I also have a new Soundcloud remix being release next month. I’m writing a lot and want to try and release another single before the end of the year as well on all streaming platforms.
