A conversation with music artist Jordi Jordi
We are sharing our recent interview with music artist Jordi Jordi .
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Jordi Jordi : Hello Twist magazine, My friends call me JLB, but in music I’m known as Jordi Jordi.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Jordi Jordi : Music and performing has always been apart of my life. Not only do I have family members that are artist and singers, but I’ve pretty much know at a young age I wanted to do the same. I grew up listening to a lot of great old school entertainers like James Brown, The Jackson’s, and a lot of Motown. Also, I was blessed to grow up in the 90s and 2000s listening to the rise of hip hop and R&B. All these things helped take me from singing in the school chorus and Church choir to jumping on the mic when I was 19.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release?
Jordi Jordi :I recently released my single Titled Go Shortii. It’s a song about my first time honestly experiencing strip clubs. Also I put out a few features with artist local to my area one song titled Diamonds with a Chicago artist Tracstarr.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Jordi Jordi : I’ve gotten a really good response from the last few releases. It’s definitely started to open up some doors and get fans ready for me to drop more dope songs.
Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Jordi Jordi :I’m definitely going to say the adrenaline rush I get from performing is what helps drive me, but there’s also nothing like getting in the studio behind a dope beat and just going crazy. Recording is a great stress reliever for me, and a positive way to let out my frustrations while being creative.
Twist Online : Tell us about your upcoming shows.
Jordi Jordi : I’m actually currently focusing on help other artist rise in the music industry by being a manager. One artist I’m particularly interested is is named Doty G Mac and we will be performing June 5th and 6th at a Summer Jam event in Chicago.
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Jordi Jordi : I’m not only and artist I’m an Entrepreneur, so I’d say to keep growing my businesses as a grow as an artist. With one being my local moving company (JME Global) and my Promotions company Push It Promo.
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Jordi Jordi : My current project is coming at the end of this year. No title yet, but it’s going to be fire. I’m putting it together now so I really don’t want to say too much.
