Today on our Hot Seat we have a talented artist KENYA with us. Let’s have a chat with her.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
KENYA : My name is KENYA and I am an New York City based artist.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
KENYA : Growing up, my parents noticed my gravitation towards music and I was placed in a lot of music programs at an early age. However,it wasn’t the programs that brought out my attraction for the industry, it was watching some of my favorite performers give their all for every performance.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release ?
KENYA : I just released a new song entitled “Love, Don’t Go” on all streaming platforms.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
KENYA : I was nervous to release the song because its unlike my previous projects that I’ve done in the past. This song is more upbeat and people seem to like that more.

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
KENYA : Currently I’ve been loving Jazz-Rap

Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
KENYA : As a BLAQ person it’s hard to simply have the space to allow your thoughts, mind and body to feel free. That’s why I love creating so much, there aren’t any restrictions.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
KENYA : My goal right now is to believe in my craft as much as others do

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
KENYA : In 2018 I released two full projects that are on my Soundcloud. Im not sure what 2019 will produce
