Today on our Hot Seat we have a multi-talented artist with us. Lets have a chat with her.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers?
Justine Carpenter : My name is Justine Carpenter and I am independent singer and songwriter from London. I am 34 years old and singing since I was 6. My voice is light lyric soprano.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Justine Carpenter : I think that both. Who and what. I realised that I can’t live without music and singing since I turned 6. When I was singing for the first time for my family and they were like “hey she’s good “ I’ve decided that I want to give joy and happiness through my music and voice. Freddie Mercury inspired me as my first biggest idol. Every time when I was watching Queen concerts I was saying to myself “I want to become legend one day “. Now I have many inspirations but Freddie is still number one.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release?
Justine Carpenter : My latest release is a song Strength To Carry On. It’s about closing a chapter in your life and start completely new episode. My first singles Not My Property and I Look At The Sky were some kind of stories. Stories about living in fear, shadow. Latest one is a manifesto of finding strength to go on.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Justine Carpenter : I don’t know. You need to ask my listeners. I hope that they relate to lyrics. Some of opinions are good some of them very criticizing. But you can’t satisfy everyone.

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Justine Carpenter : Definitely I can call myself studio recording artist. I adore the process of creating something amazing. Piece by piece.

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Justine Carpenter : Rock, pop, country. Genres that are reflecting my soul. It’s the only one way to be credible artist. When you feel the music everyone else will.

Twist Online : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
Justine Carpenter :  I would like to be remembered as an artist. I would like to give happiness. I don’t have to be super duper star but I want to leave some small legacy.

Twist Online : Are you currently working on any other project?
Justine Carpenter : I will release soon new single and collaboration song with an amazing indie hip hop artist. Then I would love to release my first EP ever .
