A conversation with singer, songwriter Charon Hill
We are sharing our recent interview with singer and songwriter Charon Hill.
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Charon Hill : Hi beautiful people! I am Charon Hill.
Singer/songwriter from philly aka (Philadelphia, PA)
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Charon Hill : Watching my grandfather perform as a kid, he was a gospel singer , had one the most incredible voices , the way it would affect the people who listened amazed me , also I was a huge fan of Madonna in the 80’s. I remember watching the “like a virgin tour” i was about 5 or 6 , it looked like so much fun . I felt like I could do that ! I wanted to be a performer!.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release “”Take You Down””?
Charon Hill : Take You Down is a super sexy song , it’s about a woman who wants to spoil her man lol .. she’s missing him, she’s happy he’s home early , she wants some sexy time with him. Here’s the perfect opportunity for her to take charge in the bedroom , or the romance department . This song was written by myself and co produced by John Allen and Josh Thomas both upcoming philly producers.
Twist Online : Your debut single had extremely good response. What kind of response you have received from your recent release?
Charon Hill : We the People did incredibly well, that song had a message for all people. It reached all the way across the pond in less than a week, Take You Down is also being received well, the ladies are loving it, I’m getting a lot of “that’s my jammmm’s”, and the fellas are singing it.. I just love the response to the track. I am confident people are going to love this upcoming EP
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Charon Hill : oh that’s a tough question, I honestly don’t have a favorite. Im a lover of all music. I was raised on everything from jazz to country, from funk to rock , r&b to gospel. Any story that I can personally connect to put together over a well arranged musicianship I’m usually all in.
Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Charon Hill : Being able to creatively express myself and have people identify. Traveling across the world , performing songs backing up and supporting artist that I have been a fan of. And overall just seeing the dreams that I had as a kid unfold before my eyes . It never gets old . I’m extremely grateful to have these opportunities.
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Charon Hill : Yes , the first of which is to complete and release my EP this summer . Second is to get radio AirPlay for “Take You Down “ it’s a song that everyone should hear . I’ve gotta get that one out there!
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Charon Hill : Currently working on the development for the visual for Take You Down, and creating the live performance to accompany it . Soon, we will be in the final stages to finish up a solid project. Not only for me, but for those who also truly believe in me. Looking forward to what 2019 has to bring.
