Twist Online : Please introduce yourself to our readers.
Rocky Jones : “Rocky Jones”. I’m a 24 yr old independent, hip-hop artist from the streets of Trenton, NJ.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Rocky Jones : I was inspired by the 90’s and early 2000’s rap and r&b music. The many obstacles in life I have been through have served as my musical inspiration.
Twist Online : Tell us about your upcoming mixtape “The Best of Rocky”?
Rocky Jones : My upcoming project is basically a story I wanted to tell about a guy going through a crazy summer. From girl problems, to dealing with guys in the streets and other crazy activities that go on in the summer time when it’s hot out and everyone’s outside all times of the night. While telling these wild summertime stories, I also wanted to deliver them in a nice, soulful sound to balance out the craziness.
Twist Online : You recently released single “Baby Don’t Change’ from upcoming mixtape. How is the response?
Rocky Jones : The “Baby Don’t Change” single is getting a lot of positive feedback. Especially from the ladies. It has a throwback 90’s feel to it.
Twist Online : What attracts your more performing on stage or working in studios?
Rocky Jones : It’s a mixture of the two because they both give me two different feelings.
Twist Online : Are you influenced by any particular music genre?
Rocky Jones : I’m influenced by just about all music genres.
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve as a music artist?
Rocky Jones : One specific goal I set for myself is being the biggest star I can possibly be for myself, representing Vulture Gang to the fullest and getting my family out the hood.
