A conversation with young rapper & producer Young Orpheus

Today on our Hot Seat we have a young and talented rapper / producer Young Orpheus with us. Let’s have a chat with him.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers. Young Orpheus :
Young Orpheus : My name is Young Orpheus, I’m an 18 year old rapper/producer from Dover, De but currently residing in Florida

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry? Young Orpheus : Growing up, there was a lot of things I struggled with, mental health being one of them. Music was like, that one thing I could connect with, and I wanted people to feel the same sense of connection with my music that I did with other artists music, like Tupac, Kanye, and as of recently, J Cole and XXXTentaction

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release ‘Distant’?
Young Orpheus : Distant was kinda of crazy, I’ve got an album I’m working on right now, and I’ve been working on it for two years, but for some reason I felt like I needed to release something, so it just kind of happened. It was almost magical, not to sound corny or anything. Distant is about my “Love of distance” with myself, how am I romantically, and how I’ve become due to things like substance abuse and heart break.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Young Orpheus : I’ve received pretty good responses, it’s only been out a few days, but 99 percent of the responses I’ve gotten have been pretty positive

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Young Orpheus : Working in studios for sure. I like performing, it’s always fun, especially with a crowd who’s enjoying my music, but when I’m in the studio, doing my thing, writing music, producing instrumentals then laying my verses, I just love that feeling

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Young Orpheus : Hip Hop for sure. No two ways about it

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve? Young Orpheus :
Young Orpheus : Well with this release, my main goal is to grow a somewhat substantial fan base. I really just wanna get my name out there, and my music heard

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project? Young Orpheus :
Young Orpheus : Yes. That album I mentioned earlier, that I’ve been working on for two years, I’m still working on that. I’m always working on music to be honest
