Adrian Truth talks about his EP ‘Bliss’ and music video of ‘Tease’

After collaborating with Boyz II Men on Tech N9ne’s Album “The Storm” Kansas City’s Adrian Truth releases a red light special video for his intimate ballad, “Tease.”

We have interviewed Adrian about the track and other things you would like to know. Here is the interview.

Twist Online : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
Adrian Truth : It started with my family, who are all talented individuals. I grew up in the church choir, in which my grandfather was the pastor. He also had a music group growing up, that I used to hear about. My mother can also sing. Growing up, I wasn’t much of a talker and the only way they really could get me to say anything, was when I would sing, haha!

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Adrian Truth : I would have to say my family inspired me for the most part. Listening to the radio ,watching BET music videos as a kid and thinking how amazing it was to make people feel good by expressing themselves through music.

Twist Online : You have recently released music video of your track “Tease”. Our readers would like to know more about it?
Adrian Truth : Well, artistically, I wanted the viewer to feel like a fly on the wall while watching the video. So I felt like it should be done in one complete shot, rather than in multiple shots.

Twist Online : Is there any inspiration behind the theme of this video?
Adrian Truth : Yes Actually! A lot of ppl don’t know this but this is based on true events that happened to me when I was dating someone yeaaaaars ago, just didn’t look this artsy haha.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Adrian Truth : A Great Response! I’ve had dancers do a Youtube video dance routine to TEASE, I’ve had ppl that have said that they have attempted to ‘make babies’ to my music! lmao

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Adrian Truth : That’s a tough one because they both do something different to me internally. Like creating stimulates my mind and soul, & performing just gives me a crazy adrenaline rush. Idk, its like a high when I perform! When I’m done performing I wanna get right back on stage. Can I say that it’s a tie? lol

Twist Online : The track “Tease” is taken from your EP, Bliss. Tease is your favorite track from the EP? Or there is any other one that you really enjoyed working on?
Adrian Truth : Tease is definitely my favorite song if I had to pick. It’s kinda hard to do that because they are like my children to me. Yes, Tease is my favorite but that’s between you and I, don’t tell the other songs that lol jk!

Twist Online : You have recently collaborated with Boyz II Men on Tech N9ne’s Album “The Storm”. How was the experience?
Adrian Truth : Imagine growing up singing to your favorite artist’s songs, as a kid, and then finding out you are on a song with not just one but two of them! I’m an R&B singer, idk anybody that don’t know Boyz II Men! They are ICONS of R&B! I’m also from Kansas City MO, and TECH N9NE IS KING here so being able to work with him is amazing! His producer Seven Summers and Tech believed in me and I’m forever grateful for them!

Twist Online : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
Adrian Truth : Touring, building my fanbase , networking & writing for other mainstream artists.

Twist Online : Are you currently working on any other project?
Adrian Truth : Of course, I’m always working on content! For my projects and others! Right now I’m focused on getting my EP ‘Bliss EP’ as much shine as it can! You can also find me featured on the new collab album ‘Kontra-Band’ with Stevie Stone and JL.

Twist Online : What’s the best way to follow you online?
Adrian Truth : You can follow me across the web by my name @Adriantruth, its the same on everything!
