An exclusive interview with an aspiring artist and musician Vincent
Today on our Hot Seat we have a very talented artist and musician Vincent with us. Let’s have a chat with him.
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Vincent : Hi, I’m Vincent, an aspiring artist and musician, as most say, generally not a bad guy, but with heightened sense of demand to myself. I’m a photographer, engaged in professional photography for many years. I also worked as an actor in the theater, committed to dancing. Also love doing a bit of journalism, still writing in my own, quite famous music portal in the CIS countries.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Vincent : The main reason that I always pushed into the music industry is exactly because someone constantly inspired me, and inspired me so much to the point that I have nowhere to put it, except for singing and performing myself. First of all, these are people who can share their stories through music. There are too many names to list them all, but I can say who inspires me a lot today: representatives of the underground like Zebra Katz, Yaeji, Mykki Blanco, Sevdaliza, Ibeyi, Maggie Rogers released an amazing album – I listen to him constantly; this and big players like Beyonce, Lady gaga, of course, Billie Eilish quickly broke into the big leagues and that’s great; this and the undying classics Chaka Khan, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, George Benson – in general, I can talk about this for ages, it’s a dangerous Twist Online. But the main catalyst for me, were the guys from the British label Maitre, who, like wizards came out of nowhere, and at such a crucial moment for me in my life (I had a difficult relationship) and simply said, “now you will be with us and now you will sing”.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recently released debut EP “Zoom Zoom”?
Vincent : It’s complete joy, very positive and uplifting music. As of late, I turn on the lighter, more joyous music and dance with a smile on my face, because music shapes our mood and can change the world around us – I really wanted to release an upbeat debut EP, I hope that we did it. At the moment when we released the first song and video in November, I experienced a difficult breakup, and I tried to prevent it from affecting my music, but still one song got by, and ended up in the EP.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Vincent : The main Vincent I received is confidence in the path that I choose. I see a return, I feel how people are beginning to reach out to my music, all this energy, support and good vibes that are surrounding me with the release of the EP is the most important part for me, it’s amazing. My songs are spinning on radio in Mexico, Brazil, France, in different countries. I’ve come across loads of publications and nice reviews from the press. And I also believe a little more in my own strength and realized that what we are doing, is good, and people want it, – this is the most important thing for me.
Twist Online : Any particular track from the EP that’s your favorite?
Vincent : Guys, it’s like asking which child do you love the most! (laughs). In these tracks there is a part of me, in every single one of them. They are all a small tune of my mood at a certain moment. In Save my life – I’m a reckless guy who started his way and is confident in himself. In Zoom Zoom I am a cheerful mechanic (see the clip). In I’m Not Afraid, I conveyed a completely different mood. All people go through different stages in their lives, so everyone in my songs will be able to relate, somewhere.
Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Vincent : The best part is that you are in constant creation of something new. Yesterday you released an EP, and today your thoughts and soul are brewing up new material, you have a lot of ideas, you are already focused on the next step, changing things around every month and you have the opportunity to create, to be heard. That unity with your audience, of course. When you feel that your track has brought you closer to a complete stranger, that you have something in common with other people, and this is your music, and the story that goes with it.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Vincent : Of course, I written down my goals since I’ve been a kid. Yes, all those diaries with my dreams, notebooks, written with long-term goals and plans – yep, did all of that. Like any creative person, except for Beyoncé and Jay-Z (laughs), I only have problems with time management. But the team at the label helps me with that, they’ll remind you 100 times, and they’ll call and speed me up.
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Vincent : Of course! Continuously! Now we are making 4 new tracks. We’re trying to combine a couple of different styles, but of course, taking dance music as a base. I am delighted with what I hear already and the most difficult thing is not to show people what isn’t completely finished, but I am very happy and proud of what you will hear soon.
Twist Online : Are you active on social media? What’s the best way to follow you online?
Vincent : Yeah, I grew up on social media, you need to look for me on Instagram and Facebook, here are the links to my pages, I will be glad to see everyone there and chat while I don’t have too many followers and I have time to Vincent almost everyone:
