An Exclusive Interview with Hip Hop Artist Farr Well
We are sharing our recent interview with hip hop artist Farr Well – aka Farrington Llewellyn.
Twist Online : What made you decide to pursue a career in entertainment?
Farr Well : Self Expression, conversations that push society and finding my kind of people is why I create. Being understood, understanding others and the learning that happens in-between is what life is about.
Twist Online : What kind of singer would you classify yourself as?
Farr Well : I would classify myself as a philosopher chasing the music Gods. My writing is the thing that makes me stand out as an artist. My art is a blend of philosophy, reflection, narrative and music.
Twist Online : Our readers would like to know about your recent projects ?
Farr Well : Hard Pill to Swallow is my upcoming EP about generational Trauma and mental illness. The album is available worldwide July 17th. I have a single out from the project right now. You can stream and download “Street Forecast” everywhere. In general you can visit my website at http://farrwell.com/music to discover my discography.
Twist Online : Where have you performed? What are your favourite and least favourite venues? Do you have any upcoming show
Farr Well : Let’s focus on the good. 1 of my favorite performances was at the Amsterdam Bar & Hall in Saint Paul Minnesota. I opened for hip hop legend Rakim Allah. It was a memorable show because I got to speak to the man backstage. I have an upcoming online album listening party on zoom app July 17th. So far no performances on the horizon.
Twist Online : You have opened shows for a number of artists. If you are asked to open a show for any artist who would it be?
Farr Well : I had a dream about opening for Halsey’s Manic Tour in Japan. It’s a nice thought.
Twist Online : What was the best concert youíve seen/performed in and why?
Farr Well : My favorite live concert was watching Ice Cube perform at Afro Punk in 2016. It was interesting because the space anti hate/discrimination in very intersectional ways.. The contrast of Ice Cubes music from different eras of toxic masculinity was an interesting way to close out the concert. Something about the energy of holding space for different realities and experiences.
Twist Online : Anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Farr Well : If you’re a fan of philosophy, sociology, spy movies and resonate with the term “Chameleon Lifestyles” you might be into what I create. I’m on a mission to “Find the Others”. Join me. I’m down to Earth but not of this World.
