An Exclusive Interview with Multi-Talented Ezra James

Ezra James is a fresh, young, talented singer/songwriter/producer and (MMA fighter) from Brisbane, Australia. With a background of soul and r&b firmly under his belt, he combines these timeless elements with today’s electronic sound, to give you an emotional connection with a song, that allows you to also jump and dance too. Already making waves on Australian radio and soon to be breaking into international waters, making waves with his unique sound, Ezra James is an artist to look out for in 2017.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Ezra James : My family are all music orientated I grew up playing music and deciding to get into the music business just felt right to my soul.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release “Think of Me feat KD”?
Ezra James : The song came about from a break up I had late last year, I wrote it literally 2 weeks after it happened and from then on all the elements I used from the drums, guitar, effects etc I tried to duplicate how I was feeling inside through it.

Twist Online : What kind of response it has received so far?
Ezra James : It debuted on the top 20 RNB/soul charts here in Australia and Nz and since then people have been waiting for the visuals to drop, which I’m excited for to show y’all.

Twist Online : Do you need some inspiration or certain kind of environment for writing songs?
Ezra James : Everything I write comes from life experiences, so what you hear is honest and comes from a deep place.

Twist Online : You are also a MMA fighter. Does it has any effect on your music?
Ezra James : Haha not at all if anything it keeps me in shape and fit for the music demands and it’s a family sport all my brothers do it too, so I kinda just fell into it and happened to be pretty good at it haha.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve as a music artist?
Ezra James : Yes I have so many, but first would be to write a platinum record either for myself or another artist.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Ezra James : Yes I am, Working on an up coming EP titled “Ponder & Beats” which is set out to be released late April or early may
