An Exclusive Interview with Multi-talented Mia Grace

Today on our Hot Seat we have Mia Grace, an artist, singer, songwriter and producer. She is ready to release an exciting track on October 2nd titled “Stuck”.

Twist Online : First of all tell us about the start of your music career.
Mia Grace : It started with a lot of trial and error. At the time I didn’t realize it because I love writing and making records but because I started so young, I kept evolving and redefining who I was. It was hard for me to create a complete body of work. My catalog has tons of music , I’ve been playing around with for around 5 years now I have a few cohesive albums for the future.

Twist Online : Your parents were the inspiration behind entering in the music industry?
Mia Grace : Yeah! I just grew up with music being almost like our foundation. My mom is a manager, my dad a singer, rapper and producer. My grandparents played instruments. My brothers and I all make music. It was just really natural for me, I always knew that this is what I wanted to do.

Twist Online : Tell us about your upcoming debut release “stuck”?
Mia Grace :Stuck is my sultry moody child. I came up with the idea in the bathroom thinking about making a song that related to the world and elements of the earth. I read an article once about how humans are made of an element that’s in stars and I thought I’d use that. Its a fun play on words backed by lush melodies and dream like ethereal production.

Twist Online : What kind of response you are expecting from the release?
Mia Grace :I haven’t thought about that really. I hope people like it of course! This release is really just helping introduce me and what I’m capable of as well as open the door for new opportunities!

Twist Online : Any plans of releasing music video of the track as well?
Mia Grace : Yes! We’re actually planning it right now. We should be wrapping things up in a week or so!

Twist Online : What attracts you more, Working in studios or performing on stage?
Mia Grace : Oooof that’s really hard. I’ve been doing a lot of recording, so Im just on the edge of my seat ready to perform. But without recording I wouldn’t have music to perform so I would have to say working in studios.

Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a musician?
Mia Grace : Creating art and connecting with people through it.

Twist Online : Have you set any goals to achieve?
Mia Grace : I just wan to get it out there and keep putting out music. My next big goal is a live show whenever the pandemic is over but I’m planning some virtual shows.
