An Exclusive Interview with music artist XHouseMusic

Today on our Hot Seat we have a talented house and pop artist XHouseMusic with us. Let’s have a chat with him.

Twist Online: Tell us about your recent release, “Welcome to XHouseMusic: First of all, please introduce yourself to our readers.
XHouseMusic:
My artist’s name is XHouseMusic. I am a house and pop music artist. My whole life, I have always loved Lyrics a listener can relate to, Lyrics a listener can sing along with, set into a motivating or moving song that influences the emotion of the listeners and is entwined into a beat that you can dance to. XHouseMusic is what I described. XHouseMusic is a collaboration of different songs, genres, lyrics, and singers layered into a beat.

Twist Online: Who or what inspired you to get into the music industry?
XHouseMusic:
First I would say my family is very music-oriented. My Mom is a piano teacher, she was always playing for us kids, and we were singing along (including my dad, who is more of a comedian than a singer.) I need to give my parents props for inspiring me. Secondly and embedded in my heart, I would have to be candid in saying I knew I was gay when I was 12 yrs old. Growing up in a religious household like many, I had to suppress my feelings and emotions because homosexuality was viewed as wrong and unnatural. I had to navigate my feelings alone and do my best to be someone I was never going to excel at being. Music, the melodies, the lyrics were my escape. Whether it was a fun Disney song, a love story-telling country song, a hard Rock fight song or anthem pop dance song, all my emotions could relate to a melody or its lyrics. Music has inspired me, defined me, and has sailed me through the best and the hardest life experiences. There is nothing more that I want to do than to hopefully pay it forward and inspire others through my songs, my lyrics, my music. I learned to love me through music. I hope my songs inspire others to love themselves and accept themselves for whoever they are or want to be.

Twist Online: Tell us about your recent release Welcome to XHouseMusic” ?
XHouseMusic:
Welcome to XHouseMusic is my pop and dance versions of my songs as I have shared. I want to create songs that listeners relate to, want to dance to and sing along. The music and lyrics in “Welcome to XhouseMusic,” I hope will positively elevate listeners in their daily grind, and if only for a few minutes in the day, give listeners good energy and an understanding during whatever emotion they are in; They are not alone. “Welcome to XHouseMusic” the songs are a bunch of hugs. The Lyrics are thought out and meaningful.

Twist Online: Any particular track from the album that’s your favorite?
XHouseMusic:
Each of my songs represent an emotional experience that I was having at that time. I can tell you exactly where I was, what I was doing, and what was creating that moment. Each song is endearing to me. The lyrics are words said or heard in meaningful conversations. Asking me what song is my favorite is like asking a parent what child they like best. Lol.
My favorite is a tie between “Mother Russia” and “I’m All in.”

Twist Online: What kind of response you have received from the release?
XHouseMusic:
The response has been amazing and very humbling. It is not easy to get new songs from a new music artist played. A couple of local Dj’s have played my songs during their sets. I am happy to report my songs didn’t kill the momentum on the dance-floor, and listeners stayed on the dance-floor and kept dancing. That is some excellent validation and response. Baby steps are miles stones. lol

Twist Online: What’s your favorite music genre?
XHouseMusic:
Definitely, Progressive House is my favorite. You can have dynamic beats with epic melodies and lyrics. You can take any genre of music and convert it into a Progressive house. Listening to songs from David Guetta, Tiesto, Alesso, Van Buuren, Morgen page, and so many other great artists inspires me. When I see or hear these artists, it makes me jealous and pushes me to work harder to be among them.

Twist Online: What’s the best part of being a music artist?
XHouseMusic:
Listening to a song I wrote, wondering in amazement (sometimes in tears) how the song came together from a simple note or word that inspired me. I am not an eloquent speaker, and I have a terrible habit of mumbling through words as I am trying to express myself. Being a music artist, I can clearly express myself and my thoughts confidently. Being a music artist, I can be myself and ground myself in something that I am passionate about.

Twist Online: Have you set some goals to achieve?
XHouseMusic:
I started out intending to create a show, a set of songs, originals that I could perform, and that listeners would want to come to, enjoy watching, singing, and come dance with me. I want to be a headliner at festivals. I want to collaborate with other artists on songs. Currently, on all music platforms, I have 11 pop/dance songs, 12 progressive house remixes, two instrumental dance, four-country songs, and I have five more songs in the queue. I think I am on the right path to creating a fun show and fingers crossed that it opens up doors to achieve other goals.

Twist Online: Are you working on any new project?
XHouseMusic:
My biggest goal right now is getting the songs I have currently out to the world. The inspiration I have received, I need to pay homage to and show gratitude. I have a few projects in progress that are part of my current goals. Any new projects will start when the time is right. I know I need to be useful to others and do my best to be kind to all I meet (like Ellen Degeneres inspires us to be.) I feel if I do so, I will find more inspiration in my songwriting, which is where I find parts of my happiness.

Twist Online: Are you active on social media? What’s the best way to follow you online?
XHouseMusic:
Please forgive me for being so social media behind. You can find me on Spotify, iTunes, iHeartRadio, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, mix, SoundCloud, and twitter under xhousemusic. Please follow me. I will be adding posts and focusing on connecting to anyone who wants to be my fan and be part of my growth as a music artist.
