An Exclusive Interview with Rap/Hip Hop Artist ‘APHEENX’
Apheenx is creating a path never done before in the music scene. His thought provoking progressive lyrics are infused in hip hop, club and pop tracks which will establish himself as a international genre busting super star. His journey has brought him to a point in his life where he tries each day to live by this mantra; “Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu”. This means; may all beings everywhere be happy and free and may the thoughts, words and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and the freedom of all.
Twist Online : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
APHEENX : Well it’s not professional yet, when I convince these break dancing monkeys to be a part of my crew then I’ll be professional 😉 .
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
APHEENX : Music is in my family, my grandfather was a established blues singer “Big Joe” Duskin. I was destined to be in the industry.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release ” Divine Species “?
APHEENX : Divine Species is about knowledge of human history many do not talk about as well as a personal encounter I had with extraterrestrials on more than one occasion I’ll be talking about soon.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
APHEENX : So far it’s been great! A lot of people are loving the video it’s much different than what people typically see. People appreciate the lyrics, the beat and the visuals. People are very entertained on every level.
Twist Online : From where you get the inspirations for writing the lyrics? Do you need some specific kind of environment for writing a song?
APHEENX : I’m glad I was asked this question, to me it’s the most important, I read quite a bit and watch a lot of videos on knowledge and history as well as various forms of meditation to reach higher states of consciousness. I need for my environment to be peaceful so that I can receive messages and energies needed to write.
Twist Online : What was the reason behind going for rap/ hip-hop as music genre?
APHEENX : I grew up on rap/hip hop so it was something I’m most drawn to, although I like other types of music, I like electronic music a lot.
Twist Online : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
APHEENX : Yes, I want to share all aspects of myself via music and I want to use the resources I obtained through music to help the world and bring out the best in people if I’m given the opportunity.
