An interview with Light Up the Moon band
This Pennsylvania Pop, Rock, Dance Party Band is bringing welcomed New Blood to clubs, casinos and special events for the 2017 season!
Light Up the Moon features a strong rhythm section that is augmented with great sequencing of keyboard parts. A band that has a New School and Old School sound with a repertoire of some of the greatest dance hits of today and the last 3 decades, Light Up the Moon is an illuminating experience!
We recently got an opportunity to interview the band. Stephen Barna answered the questions on behalf of the band.
First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
This is the first band that I’ve been in that genuinely has a professional outlook on a career. Before I was in smaller bands and growing up I’ve always took music very serious.
Tell us a little about the band “Light Up The Moon”?
I joined the band after it was already set in motion, I was asked to play bass in replace of someone else. I believe that this group at heart is and was inspired by creating a new sound no one has heard before.
Our readers would like to know more about the your role in the band?
My role in the band is more than just slapping the bass, I am personally in charge of the hilarious jokes that no one ever seems to get.
Tell us about your recent release Burn?
Burn is a song that everyone can relate to. Weather it be a relationship, trouble or a dark time you just cant seem to get rid of but keeps coming back. The end of the song is a frustrating line ” why the hell wont you just burn” that really has a heart for something greater in your life.
What kind of response you have received from the release?
So far our soundcloud has 52k plays in one day which to me is incredible. Everyone that has heard the song give a very positive response and wants to hear more like it.
What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
I love playing on stage. There is nothing else like it in the world. Its so freeing being able to show the world the talent and love for music God gave us
What’s your favorite music genre?
Personally I love heavy metal, more recently I’ve been listening to Pop Culture and Hip Hop, reason being those genres are taking over the music industry. Its good to listen to all types of music, thats how you grow as an artist.
Question : Have you set some target to achieve as a music band?
We plan to release an EP this October 2017, so far we have enough songs its just cleaning them up and making sure our message is clear and everyone can relate to the music in their own way
Are you currently working on any other project?
We are always working on new material, being a full time student and working besides the band its hard to manage time but the goal is to keep our fans updated with new material almost every week.
