Carolee Rainey talks about her love and passion for music

We are sharing our recent interview with music artist Carolee Rainey.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Carolee Rainey :
Happy New Years Greetings to everyone! I wish you all a beautiful year of your inner most dreams coming true in 2019.. [:rose:] I’m super psyched to share my music with you all this year and since I’m a relatively new artist I pray that my music moves you in some kind of deep way.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Carolee Rainey :
This is a colorful question. Honestly, I believe you are either born with musical leanings or your not. Even though I lived music from a very young age, I spent many years creating as a painter and literally crossed music off my ‘dream’ list. The fact that music came screaming back into my life is seriously nothing short of a ‘miracle’ that I’m insanely grateful for every day!

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release “Sacrifice “?
Carolee Rainey :
‘Sacrifice ‘ was such a love to write. The inspiration came from an article I read which catapulted the idea of how we all occasionally daydream about mysteriously and romantically bumping into a long lost love from the past.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Carolee Rainey :
Its still very new in the response department as its just newly released, but I’m incredibly thrilled that some people seem to really be enjoying it! I’m also excited that they are enjoying the accompanying video of ‘Sacrifice’ on ‘Youtube.’

Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Carolee Rainey :
For me personally, the most amazing part of being a music artist is getting the privileged opportunity to honestly express my deepest personal creative expression.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Carolee Rainey :
Goals and I have an interesting relationship. I’m not a person who makes a list for the future. My songs take a great deal of my daily energy, thankfully! I certainly know what its like when they don’t, and that’s a totally different agenda. I suppose songwriting is like surfing. Ride that wave when you can because inspiration certainly isn’t a given.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Carolee Rainey :
Definitely! I am seriously excited about a new album of 12 songs I am finishing up in the studio focusing on a woven theme of different aspects of ‘mental health.’ We will be releasing singles from that album in early Fall of this year!
