Conversation with A Canadian Singer & Songwriter ‘Ed Roman’

Today on our Hot Seat we have singer and songwriter Ed Roman with us. He recently released his Album ‘Red Omen’ . So we will be having conversation with him about his Album in particular. Lets have a chat with him.

Twist Online : Please introduce yourself to the readers and how and when did you first get into music profession?
Ed Roman : It’s a pleasure to be able to speak with you today and thank you so kindly. My name is Ed Roman and I am a Canadian singer songwriter that is recognized world renowned for his contributions to the human condition. I became involved in music from the very first moment so I’ve had cognitive thought. For me it’s a lifelong mission and a pursuit that I will never complete until I’m in the ground and pushing up daisies.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into this profession?
Ed Roman : I realized at a very young age that music and words have the power to change peoples attitudes and the way they live our lives. If we believe that the pen is mightier than the sword then of course the tapestry and background of music will coddle the idea more like a mother holding an infant child.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent Album “Red Omen”?
Ed Roman : The rooster lives here. Our language is changing and at the same time we are changing with our language. The album is a plethora of conceptual ideas that delve into the human condition and where we are in the 21st-century as far as how we live, love and survive. It is more like an amusement park for the mind taking you down paths of enjoyment and reflection hopefully into your own subconscious. Red is a duality color in our existence. The same could be said for an omen. Ultimately the choice becomes our perception and how it affects our daily lives. Music has that impact no matter what anybody says.

Twist Online : You also released video of your first single ‘I Am Love’ from the Album. How was the response to that?
Ed Roman : The responses been overwhelming and I’m so happy that the message of love and the radicalization of the human heart to wield empathy instead of apathy like a tool of good is happening. I have been receiving messages from people all over the world telling me that they are messengers and that their daily actions towards their fellow man whether they know them or not is becoming stronger. Ultimately it is always our choice to decide between the good and bad approach to our existence. What wolf do we choose to feed. The one that lives in darkness in a clandestine hidden motive or the one that operates in the light and shows you it’s daily activities and function. This is why the roosters on the front cover of the album. It is the emoticon or iconographic symbol of the wake up call to the human heart. Push it!

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Ed Roman : It’s too hard of a Twist Online for me to Ed Roman as it is always changing and forever growing. The most important thing to me about music is that it has a pocket in some kind of meaning behind it. I find it very difficult to relate to music that is bubblegum and flaccid verbally..

Twist Online : You have won and also been nominated for several awards. What’s the best achievement in your career so far?
Ed Roman : There are so many awards and I am always so honored to be nominated and or obtain an award but the most important achievement to me is the ability to practice my craft and to live my life in a fruitful fashion.

Twist Online : Your songs have been getting viral on radios around the world. You must be excited about that?
Ed Roman : The message from the messenger likes to be received. It makes me most happy in terms of life conviction that my music can migrate all over the globe and help people with their daily struggles. I know myself find solace and peace in so many kinds of art forms that help relax me and recalibrate me as a human. I tell you it’s the best my friends.

Twist Online : Are you working on any other new project?
Ed Roman : I am working on a video for another song from the record entitled ” The Way She Goes”. It is a songwriters type of song and definitely a number that I can see ending up on the doorstep of a lot of human hearts. The message in the song is relevant right now or could’ve been 50 years ago or even 50 years in the future. It talks about the most basics of human endeavors which is the struggle for a peaceful existence. I can’t think of a better type of number to help pull us and his people when it comes to the most simplest forms of communication.
