Conversation with a young rapper Dibyo
Today on Hot Seat we have Dibyo with us. Let’s have a chat with him.
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Dibyo : I’m a 16 year old rap/RnB artist, who loves to string together beautiful beats with heart melting vocals.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Dibyo : I was always a fan of music, ever since I was very little. Funnily, I’d never actually envisioned myself as a musician, but something clicked in my head and when I first touched a guitar, I knew I’d want to music more seriously than just a hobby. Also, the atmospheric vibe of making a song inspired me to move forward with music, and before I’d known it, my hobby had turned into a side hustle.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release?
Dibyo : My most recent release is a happy-go-lucky release, and it’s really intended for those who want to turn up or get their mind off the normal stresses, asking the listener to “Slow Down” (hence the name).
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Dibyo : Many people genuinely enjoyed the release, and some have even said they’ve played it to their parents who even swinged with it as well. Fans enjoyed it as it was a new twist with my music which had previously had been primarily melancholy.
Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Dibyo : To be fairly honest it’s a tough struggle picking between the two, but I’d have to say performing on stage because seeing the fans sing along to the music is really a filling experience.
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Dibyo : My favorite music genre would probably be a mix of RnB, rap, EDM, and pop. I think those 4 mixed together have the best sound. Period.
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Dibyo : I haven’t really set specific goals, but I have a general idea of what I want to do, and that’s to make a living from my music and be able to perform more and interact with the fans.
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Dibyo : Yeah, I’m working on 2 new projects at the time being. One should be released in early November, and the other in late November to early December. Both are polar opposites in sound, so it will be an interesting mix for fans to hear.
