Conversation with a young talented rapper Mike Lloyd
We are sharing our recent interview with Mike Lloyd, an 18 years old rapper from from Nashville Tennessee.
Twist Online : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
Mike Lloyd : For as long as I can remember, I’ve been freestyling, but things really picked up when I was 9 years old. That’s when I started writing.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Mike Lloyd : My dad was a rapper and my mom was poet. Nothing major but I always aspired to take it further then my pops.
Twist Online : Tell us about your upcoming project “shut up and rap” ?
Mike Lloyd : Precisely what the title is. It’s less of a “title” and more of a challenge. Too many antics going on in rap right now. Too much talking. Let’s just make music.
Twist Online : Any particular track from the Mixtape that’s your favorite?
Mike Lloyd : I honestly feel like the intro is the best song I’ve made ever, let alone the best song on the project. I can’t stop listening to it.
Twist Online : What kind of response you are expecting from the release?
Mike Lloyd : Recognition and acknowledgement. I definitely forsee a lot of attention from the release of the project
Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Mike Lloyd : Definitely studios, I can be more of myself rather than having to portray the character of “mike Lloyd” on stage. More room for error.
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Mike Lloyd : I like Conscious rap
Twist Online : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
Mike Lloyd : The primary goal is to make enough money to graduate college with no student loans. It’s pretty weird but that’s what I really have in mind right now
