We are sharing our recent interview with hip hop artist Gengar Musique.
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Gengar Musique : Gengar Musique! even tho my last name is pronounced, “music” haha.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Gengar Musique : Oh man. I love deadmau5, savant and medasin for edm. For Jazz and swing it’s gonna be Nat King Cole, Franky, Dinah Washington and Eartha Kitt.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent project ?
Gengar Musique : My latest release was actually Fantacies. It didn’t do so well as “Marry Me,” though. Which is why I’m pushing my next release “Daydreams” a collab I did with guitarist, “Ichika Mo,” a little sooner. So fingers crossed.
Twist Online : Any particular track from the EP, that’s your favorite?
Gengar Musique :My latest release was actually Fantacies. It didn’t do so well as “Marry Me,” though. Which is why I’m pushing my next release “Daydreams” a collab I did with guitarist, “Ichika Mo,” a little sooner. So fingers crossed.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Gengar Musique : Everyone was going crazier than I expected. Usually I push for promotions but this one was doing great all by itself just from word of mouth. So it did really well.
Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Gengar Musique : Actually I’ve still never performed or seen a concert yet as crazy as that is. I love my studio and how comfortable it is to me. So for now I’m gonna stick with that until things need to expand out of my den.
Question : What’s your favorite music genre?
Answer : Jazz, all the way. Edm is a close second though.
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Gengar Musique : The goal is to start my record label. And then eventually branch into production company. I make more than just music, I create stories. So I want people to see what I see when I create.
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Gengar Musique : I’m stocked up on music right now. However I’m getting hired to score a movie potentially before 2018 ends. So we’ll see.
