Conversation with talented and inspiring artist AiA

This week in our interview section we will be having an interview with AiA.

Born just outside of Washington DC, AiA (Alicia) comes from a multicultural-Brazilian family of Mediterranean descent. Her artist parents moved to the US in the early 70’s and quickly involved themselves in the alternative lifestyle of “hippies”. Alicia often recalls some of the greats blasting throughout the house growing up. “I’d wake up to go to school and find my father painting all night listening to Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Miles Davis and Vivaldi”. Her parents always involved her in culture such as theatre, film, museums, and the symphony.
“It wasn’t until I saw the Sound of Music that my eyes opened to the idea of being a part of something greater” she says.

Soon thereafter AiA began writing, singing/songwriting, for which became a huge outlet and calling for all the creative energy she built-up through the years. AiA has an array of original songs, poetry, and short stories that she wrote including award winning films. With the inclusion of original songs used in both films and television.

AiA speaks 3 languages- English, Portuguese, and Spanish. She is married to her high school sweetheart and resides with her family in Boca Raton, Fl.
