EDM Artist ÄLLIE Talks About Her Recent Release “Heat Wave”
Twist Online : First of all please tell us about the start of your music career?
Allie : I listen to music from all genres like most of the artists. I started from Jazz, which is a great start to learn how to improvise and do phrasing. And it is from Jazz,I started to dig in fusion Jazz and electronic tracks.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Allie : I’ve been listening Neoclassical music like Emma Shapplin, or some of Sarah Brightman’s collaboration with Enigma, Freddie Mercury’s work with Montserrat Caballe.
From there I decided that this is the production that I wanna do to merge techno and electronic with orchestral arrangement which can work with any genre.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent project ?
Allie : My recent project which just released is “Heat Wave”, it’s a Deep House Techno record that I did this summer. It’s about a summer crush like heat wave don’t know how it all started and how it ended. With the music video we capture a lot of summer scene at LA, New York, Tokyo and Taipei in the 60s~80s to give this nostalgia vibe.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Allie : Really appreciate that we received lots of positive response from people about they love the atmospheric vocal mixed with summer vibe on this track.
Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Allie : I love performing on the stage, but I think recently I’ve been on the producing mode. Love producing and discover wonderful talents and songwriting, that’s like a never ending love.
Twist Online : You are in the fashion world, tell our readers about your love for fashion?
Allie : I think it all started from my learning in painting since little.I look at fashion from more like a one art perspective, love working with fashion and fine art photographer to see myself differently under the lens it’s like a journey of discovering yourself. Recently I’m in love with works from Iris van Herpen and Maartje Dijkstra,both designer combine technology in haute couture, a real work of art. They are like poets in fashion to me.
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Allie :
I wish can produce 4000 songs no matter for any artist before I die . lol
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Allie : We have upcoming project of mixing Neoclassical, hiphop and techno with our London producers, feeling absolutely honored to work with talented people. Also feel more than excited.
