We recently had conversation with producer and songwriter Flaco42 about his life, music projects and particularly about his recent project ‘Craftgod: Charged Past Maximum’. Sharing our conversation here with our readers.
Twist Online : Please introduce yourself to our readers first?
Flaco42 : Whats up readers, my name is Flaco42, and I’m a producer/songwriter from Oakland California, living in Las Vegas.
Twist Online : You are based from music background is that the reason you came into music?
Flaco42 : I mean, yes and no. I got into music because I grew up around it and as i got older I seen it as a means to an end and a way out. Coming from where im from it’s easy to get caught up in other peoples b***S*** and become a victim of personal stupidity and me not being a big fan of society, had to figure out an industry I can get into that didn’t require me to slave for anybody.
Twist Online : You name your brand of music as “The Craft”. Any particular reason for that?
Flaco42 : Particular reason… How can i put this… “The Craft” was something that kinda just happened. It went from everything that I considered being cool or dope or fresh or whatever.. That was considered crafty, so as time went on crafty got shortened to just craft and I realized exactly what craft was, craft is just the decision making process behind whatever it is your doing. So now its something I live by.
Twist Online : Tell us about your music project titled Craftgod: Charged Past Maximum?
Flaco42 : Craftgod: Charged Past Maximum or #cpm for short is a small body of music that was created during what i would consider the most defining period of my life, you take a young adult male from city with a lot of violence and culture, drop him smack dead in the middle of the fastest trickiest city in America and say “GO”. Seriously, no handbook, pamphlet, or warning video could have prepared me for the last 2 years of my life and #cpm reflects that.
Twist Online : What’s the best way to listen to your music?
Flaco42 : The BEST way to listen to it is off the loudest tree you can get ya hands on and through some Hi-Fi Bose over ear headphones, as far as where you can play it online, Apple Music, Tidal, GooglePlay and SoundCloud.
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Flaco42 : Dont really have one, I just love the game in general. I feel like the music game is a Ocean and we different fish following different waves and currents.
Twist Online : Any Future projects you are working on?
Flaco42 : YUP! CRAFTGOD 2: Generation Z dropping New Years Eve December 31st .
