Franky Treau talks about his recent release “Nostalgic: 90’s Tape A” and his professional life
Today in our interview section we had conversation with Franky Treau. An artist based from Nashville, TN currently living in California. He had recently released a Mix-tape called “Nostalgic: 90’s Tape A”. It pretty much pays homage to any and everything 90’s. Here is what we have discussed during the conversation with this talented artist.
Twist Online : First Tell us a little about the starting of your music career.
Franky Treau : I started doing music at the age of 8. My dad had a copy of a Hot Boys CD with the song “I Need A Hot Girl” on it. At that time singles came with a explicit version, edit version, and instrumental. Me, my brother, and my cousins all started writing to the instrumental and ever since then I had this love for music that hasn’t stopped since.
Twist Online : You have been attached to music since your early age. How much did it improved your music skills?
Franky Treau : It improved in a huge way. I’ve had the time to learn my craft and dedicate countless hours to it. I look at music as an art. I always want to put my best foot forward on any project I’m working on. I’m 25 now so I’ve had many years to learn from my mistakes and get better each day.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recently released mixtape “Nostalgic: 90’s Tape A” ?
Franky Treau : Well “Nostalgic: 90’s Tape A” is a ode to the 90’s era. The 90’s had so much greatness come out of it whether it been music, movies, tv, etc and I wanted to create a project that gave a person a feeling of nostalgia when they press play. I blended a little bit of everything from the 90’s on this project. It’s a BBQ type, kick it with the family fun filled tape. Summer mixtape for sure.
Twist Online : You had been a cast member of MTV’s Guy Court’ show a few years back. How was your experience there?
Franky Treau : Lol, this is always funny when asked. My time on ‘Guy Court’ was short lived but incredible. Me and a friend of mine who was also on the show flew out to New York to tape and the whole time on set was nothing but laughs. We had the chance to work with Lil’ Duval, Dan Soder, Donnell Rawlings, Melanie Iglesias, and a few others from the original ‘Guy Code’ cast. That definitely goes down in history as one of my highlight moments in my life.
Twist Online : Are you inspired by someone in music industry?
Franky Treau : One person that inspires would be Chance the Rapper. Just a few years ago not many knew who he was and to create a formula for himself that paid off in a major way is great. Stuck to what he knew and went after what he wanted.
Twist Online : What is your music genre?
Franky Treau : Hip Hop/ Rap
Twist Online : What’s your goal in life you want to acheive next?
Franky Treau : To become greater than I already am. I’m always challenging myself to work 100x harder than I did the day before. I have a story that I feel people need to hear. Many may not like it, but there will be some that understand and respect it. I just want to be heard.
Twist Online : Any new projects you are working on? When it will be released?
Franky Treau : I’m working on another Nostalgic project scheduled to be released by Christmas of this year. I also have my 4th solo studio album (Title Yet To Named) I’m currently working on and you can expect that sometime Second quarter of 2017.
Twist Online : Are you on Social Media? Your fans would love to follow you.
Franky Treau : Yes you can find me on IG, Twitter, FB, and SnapChat all under @FrankyTreau. Also for booking or other inquires because I’m a producer as well, I can be found at FrankyTreauBooking@Gmail.Com
