Holly T talks about her love and passion for music
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Holly T :
I’m Holly T the chick behind Axe Murder Biitches. I’m a 30 something housewife from the middle of the map. Music is life. Since I’m just starting out I’m using SoundCloud to get my music out there.
I’m an amateur beatmaker & recording artist, aspiring entrepreneur, wordsmith, ghost writer, & Certified Web & Graphic Designer. I can’t wait to see where my musical journey takes me.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Holly T :
There are a few groups and artists that motivate me to make music but it would be my husband who inspired me to actually start doing it. I have been a music person all my life. It seems that 90% of my friends are musically inclined. In the past I hung with a dj/drummer/guitar player in a cover band, a rapper and promoter. So I’ve seen how things work behind the scenes. If they could do it, surely I could try my hand at it. I’m a writer by heart & music is the best way I really know how to express myself and my feelings. I just love it and I really don’t even care if I profit. If I could help someone relate or make someone actually feel a certain way, then my goal is reached. I know so many people with these wasted gifts and talents who will never be heard. I can’t let that be me.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release ?
Holly T :
“Lie & Die” is the first track that I could actually call my own. I have the highest respect for skilled artists who do everything on their own. I give props to those who can make their own beats, write their own lyrics, & mix their own songs after they engineer it. I made this beat from scratch, wrote to it and then recorded. I had a little help with mastering it though! I didn’t write it with a typical song structure it’s more free verse. I was pretty proud of it.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Holly T :
Well I have always wanted to be a rapper. I’ve been dead set on that! But while I have no vocal training whatsoever I really do love to sing. The response I got was that I have a pretty & unique voice and that singing is my calling.
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Holly T :
If I have to choose one it would have to be Horrorcore hands down. But I’m
super partial to Trap & Gangsta Rap as well! Underground is the best.
Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Holly T :
Creativity and the art of expression. There is something very freeing when you can give your emotions and feelings a sound. It’s almost therapeutic. I love telling a good story with music as well. I have a wild imagination!

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Holly T :
To be more comfortable with my voice and find my flow. Ultimately my end goal is to invest, start an L.L.C. or possibly own a label. I have a vision for a business model. It’s just taken from the advice always given, “not to put all your eggs in one basket.” The ultimate hustle is to not remain fixed in just one certain art form and becoming fluid in at least a handful of aspects pertaining to your craft. I want to do a little bit of everything in relationship to music. Sound engineering, recording, photography, graphic & web design, e-commerce, networking & promotion.
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Holly T :
I always have a million projects going but I’m putting out another song in a couple days. “King Of Tha Clouds” I wrote and recorded this song about how a person could love & enjoy someone as much as a drug addict loves & enjoys their drug. The lyrics might be controversial to some, but there is a deeper meaning to it if you just expand your mind.
