Interview With A Passionate and Talented Gospel Artist ‘Constant Battle’

Sharing here our recent interview with Constant Battle a very talented and passionate gospel artist.

Twist Online : Please introduce yourself to our readers.
Constant Battle : Well, my name is Constant Battle and I am a Christian/gospel hip hop artist from Buffalo, NY. I started at the age of 14 as a hobby, started taking it serious at the age of 16 and just never looked back.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Constant Battle : For as long as I could remember, I’ve always loved music. I remember getting a keyboard at age 7 and would annoy my mom day and night with it to a point to where she sold it lol. As far as for who inspired me to specifically
do christian/gospel music, that was DMX. He was (really still is) my favorite artist and i figured if he could do 1 song for the Lord on every album and i’m a christian, why can’t I do every? And so I do.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release?
Constant Battle : The record is called “On Our Job” and it’s address people that have been idling by, just letting life happen, not standing or speaking out if you will for what they at least say they believe in. Break time is over, it’s time
to get back on our job.

Twist Online : Your performed with a number of artist and at several places. What’s been your best working experience so far?
Constant Battle : Aww man, I’d have to say the last 2 years as I have been traveling and booking shows on my own along with my homie MAiNE. We’re independant so, we just grind it out ourselves and the artists we’ve gotten to network with such
as my homie D-Bishop out of Harrisburg and, Tony Whoa out of Indianapolis are just as passionate as we are.

Twist Online : What do you enjoy more performing live or working in studios?
Constant Battle : That’s a really tough Twist Online that i honestly don’t have an Constant Battle for because i love doing both so much. The creative energy that’s in a room while recording gives so much life to a song but, the live performance and
interaction with the people is where it’s at. For me, it’s a legitimate tie.

Twist Online : You also co-host a radio show, our readers would like to know about that?
Constant Battle : Ah yes The Shout Out (just good music), the show has been going for about 5 years now in which I’ve been co-hosting 4 of them. It’s an awesome show half talk, half music and it’s syndicated across 5 internet stations across
the U.S. and with so much freedom we just talk about a bunch of random stuff if we’re not arguing lol. The reason for the just good music tag line is that it’s a christian radio show so the music is spreading the good news of Jesus
Christ.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve as a music artist?
Constant Battle : Any artist who tells you that they haven’t is either lying and doesn’t take music seriously. I set goals EVERY year, sometimes i hit them, sometimes i don’t. Hopefully this year I’ll hit all of them lol. I already knocked one
out really at the end of last year which was to take care of trademarking my name of Constant Battle.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Constant Battle : Yeah most definitely, this record On Our Job is the far in advance lead single for the album I’m working on which is title We Fight Daily, which I’m hoping to release in the third quarter of this year so definitely keep an eye
out for it.
