Interview with an up and coming artist Rah

Today on our Hot Seat we have an Up and coming Artist Rah with us. Let’s have a chat with him.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Rah : I am an up and coming artist from Philly. My name is Emery Seka but my artist name/stage name is Rah. I was born December 18, 2000 I am 17. I have 3 siblings, 2 brothers and 1 sister. I got my stage name from my middle name. I like football and basketball. But I mostly love making music

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Rah : Well my biggest Inspiration is Lil Durk, I seen an interview where he said he wasn’t taking the rap stuff serious. But when he uploaded his first video and it stated getting some traction he thought this could be his way out. Also my big brother was rapping before me and I kind of picked it up from him I guess. Seeing other artist make it. And taking care of their family really made me wanna put my all into it.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent project “Die A Legend” ?
Rah : Well it all came about from the death of “XXXTentacion” “Jimmy Wopo” & “junior”(a 15 year old boy from New York. Who was stabbed to death by multiple grown men. And it got me thinking… Life is to short, for all. I know I could be gon tomorrow. So I could either die known for doing what I love and be a legend or I could. I could die doing something I don’t even care for and be forgotten. The project shows that their are a lot of fake people in the world and nobody really cares for you until your gone tbh.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Rah : The response so far was great for only being out for 1 day. Mostly everyone who herd it likes the song and is giving positive vibes after hearing it.

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Rah : I can’t choose just 1 lol I love both. Performing on stage because I see the crowd giving to  my music and just turnt from it and that just overall makes me feel like I’m doing something right and that brings joy to me. Working in the studio because once that beat plays in gone off this earth. I’m in my own world where anything is possible. I hear a beat and if I really like it then I freestyle.

And if I feel that the freestyle is hot then…. There goes a new song

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Rah :Hip-Hop, Alternative Rock, R&B, Blues, Rock and a couple more I can’t think off my head right now.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Rah : By the end of 2018 summer I want to have at least 3 music videos out. By 2019 I wanna be known within the music industry and have a video on world star. Have some interviews done and also have my music on  air/radio play. And a couple more that I’m not gone speak on lol like my motto “Say Less & Do More”.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Rah : As a matter of fact I am, I’m going to have a mixtape out on my birthday”December 18 2000″ or if not a little Ep Y’all just going to have to wait and see.
