We are sharing our recent interview with an up and coming rap artist Montana Lee.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Montana Lee :
Wassup, it’s Montana Lee, I’m a up and coming rap artist from Detroit, Michigan.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Montana Lee :
I always had the ideal in my head of possibly being something “outside of the box “ away from a 9-5. But once I had experienced the lost of a close person to me it motivated me to keep going harder since I’m no longer just carrying myself. I can’t even name all the people who inspired me because it’s been a life long chain on experiences that kept me influenced me to keep going. I can honestly early hip hop & r&b inspired my sound though and also the people around me who keep high expectations of me keep me grinding. My mother, friends, father, fiancé, and other musical artist were my biggest influencers

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release ?
Montana Lee :
My video “Lock Thoughts” was released about a week and a half ago. It was a song I made in my studio in like 3 minutes honestly. For some reason I just had a gut feeling that I should hurry up and release it and shoot a video because as the song played I started visualizing different but dark moods for it. As you can see the video portrayed and dark yet honest perspective of being “locked in your thoughts “.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Montana Lee :
I just dropped a video called “Lock Thoughts” which was shot by Dodbh and the response I’ve been getting from that has been nothing but positive.I’m a keen believer and “there’s no I in “team so I strategically did things so everybody could gain exposure. In that video I was in the “BreakOut Box” which is studio owned by my mentor Timpa Tantrum and then U see another familiar face in my background my artist “Mono”. I do stuff like that make it possibly for everybody to build off 1 things. I am a team player.

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Montana Lee :
My favorite genre right now is HipHop/Rap.

Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Montana Lee :
The best part of being a musical artist is networking with people from all over the world and chatting with fans from all over. The older I got o noticed that impact a person words can have on someone and that just gave me a extra push to keep going. I would’ve never guessed I would have fans like this. As a artist it’s very rewarding to see the growth from where I started from. I can write my thoughts on a paper and later turn those into visual representations.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Montana Lee :
My current goal right now is to grow my fan base to the max and put myself on a bigger platform then reach out the others so help them build. I also want to eventually move on to the production/marketing side of the industry.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Montana Lee :
Currently I do have something In the works but I don’t want to speak to soon on it because anything can change. I’m always developing and thinking about new things and the way my mind works I could like one thing today and tomorrow I could delete it all so I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself.
