Interview with Dress Code about his new EP ‘Underground’

This week in our interview section had an interview with Derek Holley who writes and performs dance music as the band name Dress Code. His style combines EDM with rock and funk influences.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Dress Code : Don’t know how it started, but I was playing music at a young age. I started learning different instruments at first, then later got into songwriting and producing my own tracks.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent EP ‘Underground’?
Dress Code : “Underground” is 5 tracks of funky electronic/dance rock music. These are my biggest influences and wanted show that on the EP.

Twist Online : Any particular track from the EP that’s your favorite?
Dress Code : I can’t decide between “Freak Show” and Get To You”

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Dress Code : It’s been getting more plays and streams each week and new fans responding.

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Dress Code : I like both! Being onStage is fun and there’s an immediate response from the audience, but I like recording and putting all the tracks together.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Dress Code : The goal now is promoting “Underground”

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Dress Code : I’m always looking for new song ideas
