Wil Make It : I started making Music when I was 14, I didn’t take it serious until 2009.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Wil Make It : My child hood friend Fonikz Beatz [Derek White] use to always makes beats and online battle rap which got me interested. Seeing everyone unite over a 3 min beat was very relaxing. Especially in the neighborhood I’m from.
Twist Online : Your 6 years USMC service has any influence of effect on your music?
Wil Make It : I believe it did have an effect as to how serious I take it. How every little detail matters to me. I want to get things done asap but quality over quantity. The military remolded my way of thinking and help mature very quickly. it helped me easily express myself.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release ‘Houdini’ ?
Wil Make It : Houdini is known as a Famous Magician back in the day. I Took the concept of Houdini,”look at you you cant be me, I am Houdini, you cant see me”. It relates to me because I feel like my life is a big illusion. like Perception Vs Reality. What you see isn’t always the truth. People assume they know me, they assume that I have lots of woman and I live a expensive lifestyle, in reality I do not. I tend to stay to myself and I have maybe one friend I speak to on a regular basis. I go the seawall alone, I go around networking and meeting new people to help elevate together.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Wil Make It : I’ve received lots of positive feed back from the Japanese community as well as the USA. Melodic music tends to be a trend out here. Easier for the locals to understand.
Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Wil Make It : Working in studios is more attracting at the moment. Until I get in front of thousands then I will shift it to performing.
Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Wil Make It : The bet part has to be creating melodies that speak to everyone. Music is the universal language of the world. A lot of the locals don’t understand English but the understand the emotion behind it do to melodies, rhythm. Also creating something to look at years down the road. Like a time capsule.
Twist Online : Have you set some target to achieve?
Wil Make It : I do, I plan on opening up for Summer Jam 2018 Tokyo. I also want to increase my IG fans and learn more about social media marketing.
Twist Online : Are you currently working on any other project?
Wil Make It : I am currently working on finishing my Album “Passport” aiming for Christmas time-frame. along with that I plan to make music videos to every song. I have a song called “dimelo” which is a Dominican slang for “What’s Good” I feel like my culture would appreciate it knowing that Cardi B just hit Number 1 top Billboards and being the first Dominican to do so. Its only right I make a a song for my people.
