Interview with Independent Hip Hop Artist Big AL Swagg

We are sharing our recent interview with music artist Big AL Swagg.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Big AL Swagg :
Hello everybody! Thank you so much if your reading this. My name is AL (AL-Terrick Cromwell) but on the stage I’m also known as Big AL Swagg. I am a Independent Hip Hop Artist trying to change the world one song at a time lol

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Big AL Swagg :
Since a kid growing up, I have always been around music. I was also born in the 90s which is when the Hip Hop genre or “gangsta rap” was starting to become big. I always loved listening to music, not just hip hop either. When I hit my late teens I started experimenting with writing and recording and I realized how interesting the whole process was and how much I loved the creative process. Things just went from their.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release “It Aint Eazy”?
Big AL Swagg :
Released in September of 2018. The Offical Music Video is out now and available on my Youtube Channel “Big AL Swagg” for your viewing. You can stream and or download the song via Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon, Napster, iHeart Radio, Google play, Deezer, etc its everywhere! Lol

Twist Online : What makes this song so special?
Big AL Swagg :
I was going through some personal things at the time. I was browsing through beats to purchase, I heard the instrumental and I basically just spoke/wrote on how I was feeling and where I’m at in life on this particular record. It’s actually a sample from a old Tupac Hit titled “It Ain’t Easy” from his album “Me Against The World”.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Big AL Swagg :
For the most part the responses have been great and if you want me to be honest I’ve gotten negative feedback from listeners as well. It comes with the territory. But since the release its hit over 20k streams on spotify alone. Thousands of streams on YouTube and I get fans hitting me up via my social profiles telling me they heard my song and they can relate.. All in all the response is Dope! Thanks for asking haha

Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Big AL Swagg :
For me it’s being able to express myself. Being able to put pieces of my life into the music and putting it out so others in the world can relate and knowing that they aren’t alone or the only individual in the world going through things (tough times, misfortunes) all that good stuff.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Big AL Swagg :
make a full time living off doing what I love to support myself, my son, and my family. To do that my goals are to constantly work on my craft, invest in marketing, book more shows and lastly be consistent in doing all of those things. I know I can and I WILL!

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Big AL Swagg :
of course! I actually have a unreleased music video which I will release in the next coming weeks. The song is called “No Competition” also available for streaming and download everywhere. I also have singles lined up to be Released throughout 2019. Just pay attention !
