Interview with multi-talented Lassai
We are sharing our recent interview with multi-talented Lassai, a Singer/Songwriter, Actor, and Pisces. Lassai was born and raised in Chicago.
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Lassai : My name is Lassai pronounced (Luh -Say)
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Lassai : Family and friends were the first to inspire me. I crew up singing in the church choir, which made me fall in love with singing and music in general. I also saw how the congregation was effected which inspired me even more. I never really stopped performing since then.
Twist Online : You must be happy with the kind of response your debut EP “Water & Birth” had received?
Lassai : Truly grateful! I’ve been able to connect with so many people across the world via social media because of it. So many new relationships/collaborations have manifested because of it. This being my debut project ever had my anxiety going crazy, you naturally want people to fall in love with all your hard work. I’m so grateful that it’s been well received by the people and the critics, but I also am learning to trust myself more and not allow others opinion of me fill me with stress. So many new relationships/collaborations have manifested because of it.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release?
Lassai : October has been a very exciting month! I just released two brand new singles “Horizon” and “Fixated”! “Horizon” is mid tempo motivational anthem. The overall message is self love and gratitude for the world and skin we live in.
“Fixated” is a personal ballad that details the pros and cons of being such a mutable person with my partners.
Twist Online : What kind of response it has received?
Lassai : For both songs this is the most media coverage and write ups I’ve ever received since releasing music. I’ve been performing more with these singles so I’m able to engage with more people here in Chicago, which is exciting. It’s all been love and again I’m super grateful!
Twist Online : You are a Singer/Songwriter, Actor, and Pisces, What do you enjoy the most?
Lassai : All of those identities are extremely crucial to my make up its impossible to choose. They all intersect with one another in beautiful ways. For example my acting allows me to tell the story that I’m singing effectively, and having a Pisces sun sign keeps me creative and motivated to hone my singing and acting.
Twist Online : Do you need some specific kind of environment for writing tracks?
Lassai : Most of my songs have been written in my home. Some I’ve even recorded there. I think I can right anywhere really but I love doing it in my home.
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Lassai : Definitely recording and performing as much as possible, and releasing singles every now and then. I’m really using this time to solidify a sound before jumping back into a new project.
