Interview with multi-talented Vernon Little

This week in our talented artists interview section we had a conversation with Vernon Little.

He is from the Bronx, NY. He has been writing, recording, and performing since the mid-1980’s. He started out with a group (Def Duo), then went solo in 1989. His music is hip-hop/holy hip-hop. He is a fan of a wide range of artist from Mary Mary to Nas.
He is a pastor at Faith In God Church in the Bronx…Apostle Gladys Little is his pastor. He also frequent World Changers Church-NY.

 

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Vernon Little : My name is Vernon Little. I’m a Hip Hop/Holy Hip Hop recording artist. My current project is an EP titled Double Minded.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Vernon Little : My former DJ – Joe Stick, and co-worker – Dorsey Wright.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release “The Chance To Tell You” ?
Vernon Little : On a personal level, I was just thinking about all the years I’ve been writing and recording music hoping for a chance to share it with as many people as possible. I also see many people out here who are expressing themselves and sharing their thoughts, opinions, and beliefs on whatever platform is available to them.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Vernon Little : It’s been good for the most part. I’ve heard people say that they like the positive vibes.

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Vernon Little : Performing.

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Vernon Little : I have more than one. They’re R&B, Rap, and Gospel.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Vernon Little : I’d like to be given the opportunity to sit on panels nationwide where people are discussing ways to encourage, inspire, and offer people solutions to problems.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Vernon Little : Yes. I plan to release new music in early 2019.
