Skinny Is Green

Interview with music band “Skinny Is Green”

We are sharing our recent interview with Electro/Synthpop band “Skinny Is Green”.

Twist Online : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
Rav: I started playing guitar around the age of 14, by 15 I was already writing my songs and recording them on studios I think that’s when it began.
Punit: I was involved in some local bands around 2016 in Baltimore, but It really kicked in when i decided to join Skinny is Green in the beginning of 2017.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to launch the band Skinny Is Green?
Rav: I think it was my willingness to experiment with my new sounds and my desire to share with people out there that led me to start Skinny Is Green.
Punit: Yeah that’s what appealed me the most when I joined Rav in 2016.

Twist Online : Our readers would like to know more about the band members and their roles in the band?
Rav :Right now it’s only two of us, Me on Vocals, Programmings and Guitars and Punit on Bass Guitars and Back vocals.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release ‘Sixteen’?

Rav: ‘Sixteen’ is a song about a kid growing up in a disfunctional family and they are constantly bullied by their peers at school. Even in amidst of all these dark times, they find hope when they listen to their favorite music, because music is the only thing hat can uplift their souls at the moment.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Rav: So far it’s been great, the views have been picking up. We are getting noticed by a lot of blogs and magazines too, which is awesome.
Most importantly the message we were trying to spread out there about bullying is reaching more people and is hopefully gonna make an impact.
Punit: Its amazing to get positive feedback from all over. And i think the message is worth sharing to people have been really kind in supporting our song.

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?

Rav: I think at the moment I like the idea of crafting songs while working in the studio better, but I’m once this is all done it’s gonna be all about performing and that
Punit: Haha Tough choice but I would say the same …both equally …because there is so much excitement in doing both performing and working in studio. I wouldn’t wanna miss out on both as an artist.

Twist Online : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
Rav: Yes, it’s actually very huge and scary but worth pushing ourselves to it.
Punit: Agreed.
