Interview with singer & songwriter ALLIIOP

Today on our Hot Seat we have singer, songwriter ALLIIOP with us. Let’s have a chat with her.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
ALLIIOP : Hello! I am a singer-songwriter and actress based in NYC.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
ALLIIOP : I had a friend who inspired me to get into the music industry because he wrote these amazing songs that were so emotional and touching. I also really wanted to try something new over the summer because I was trying to find myself and who I was.

Twist Online : Tell us about your debut track ‘Molly’ ?
ALLIIOP : ‘Molly’ was originally written as a series of poems shaped as letters written to a girl named Molly. Molly represents the listener and she’s supposed to embody who the listener is and it’s sort of a reassuring healing song. It was also an incredible experience to produce the song because to some level it really related to me in a personal way.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
ALLIIOP : So far the release has been extraordinary and amazingly supportive. A lot of people have contacted me and asked if they could work with me and I’ve also gained a lot of supporters for the release of my future projects.

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
ALLIIOP : Working in studios attracts me more as of now because I haven’t had much experierience with performing on stage.

Twist Online : Have you learned piano from some instructor or is it all natural talent?
ALLIIOP : I used to take piano lessons as a kid but then I stopped taking lessons but, I never really stopped playing piano so I’ve been able to use my ability to play piano while I create songs. I pretty much think that natural talent and help from instructors have both contributed to my ability to play

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
ALLIIOP : Definitely. I have set goals to such as doing a live public performance as well as going back to Milan and collaborating with some of the wonderful people I met there this summer.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
ALLIIOP : I’m working on the release of my first EP. So far it’s planned to have 6 songs but, if I do produce more I’ll release it as an album. You can follow me on instagram (@alliiopsounds) if you want to hear sneak peeks and demos.
