Interview with Singer & Songwriter JameirKGolden
Jameir Desean Kirkpatrick, better know for his stage name Jameirkgolden, is a American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He best known for his songs ” Losing My Mind “, ” Lonely Lucifer ” , and ” Neon Paint Job “. We are sharing our recent interview with him.
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
JameirKGolden : Hello, my name is Jameirkgolden I’m from Louisville,Ky and I’m representing the underground sound of Louisville [laughs]
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
JameirKGolden : Kanye West was ultimately the person who got me into rapping specifically Yezzus album Kanye, because it was so experimental and stuff I’ve never even heard before which is what showed me not all rap has to be so basic and it can break rules it also made me go through my own transformation.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release?
JameirKGolden : My most recently release is a song called Veteran, it’s a pretty aggressive and vulgar song that kind just embodies rage of all sorts because right now I feel…like I’m stuck between being optimistic or falling to the demise of my own demons.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
JameirKGolden : I would say the response went pretty well I wasn’t really sure how people were gonna take it because of how strong the start of the song is, but it’s all love for everyone no hatred toward anyone in specific it’s just their to symbolize when your angry you want who ever that anger is directed at to feel it.
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
JameirKGolden : To be honest that’s a hard one because i always find myself liking anything that really catches my attention i have this weird ability to see music haha I know that sounds kinda crazy but i’ve heard their are some other artist who also see music.
Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
JameirKGolden : Honestly the attention, the cool people, relating to fans and performing has to be the best thing about being a music artist their are so many wonderful people i meet because of my songs and their are tons of super dope fans that i call my “16’s” who are extremely supportive haha it’s like a cult or family trying to navigate through a sea of madness but I’m extremely grateful to have them in my live they are what inspire me to keep going because as an artist their are so many ups and downs
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
JameirKGolden : Yes/no the big end goal yes I wanna make a big impact on the world, i want to be able to make sure I or my music made someone’s life a little bit easier this world will try to break your mind so if i know that I made atleast a few thousand people happy then i myself am okay but for the short term I’m not really sure I do wanna perform at sxsw next year so I’m working my ass off to do that because I really wanna show the world I’m serious about this music stuff.
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
JameirKGolden : Yes, I am it’s called Hill fires in florida it’s suppose to have 5 tracks but that may change I’m constantly running through ideas trying to understand exactly what i wanna do the tape is gonna be something a bit different then my normal songs I’ve been experimenting with a lot of beats and song concepts with my friend Haley who always helps me with a lot of of my work she’s more behind the scenes and people may know her as riphaleyedits
