Interview with singer songwriter Tiaday

We are sharing our recent interview with singer songwriter Tiaday

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Tiaday :
Hi, my name is Tiaday and I am a singer-songwriter from Waimea, Hawai’i! I just released my latest R&B/pop single, “CURRENT” on all music streaming platforms.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Tiaday :
I grew up surrounded by music in my family so it’s always been a part of me and my identity. My father was a singer and guitar player so I learned a lot from him over the years. As for my recent musical influences, they span from Top 40’s like Khalid to indie rock like Catfish & The Bottlemen or Now, Now.

Twist Online : Tell us about your upcoming release?
Tiaday :
“CURRENT” was written almost a year ago right alongside “FAVORS” about only a few days apart. I had been in the studio writing and recording for about a week or so straight and having to come up with material each day, so “CURRENT” is the fruition of the hard working (and stressful) environment I was in at the time. There were certain people around me who were pressuring me to put out so much content that I felt like I was being “stretched thin” and didn’t have anything left to give like my lyrics imply. I’m just glad some positivity came out of it like this song.

Twist Online : What kind of response you are expecting from the release?
Tiad
ay : I had some responses to my previous single that were arguing on whether or not this is classified as “hip hop” or strictly “R&B” and I feel like I might have similar reviews but I’m not really trying to fit into one box or category. If you like it, you like it. and if not, that’s okay!

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Tiaday :
Currently R&B! I’ve been listening to a lot of Amber Mark lately; she’s fantastic.

Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Tiaday :
Personally I feel like it’s getting to affect peoples’ emotions and brighten up someone’s day. If any of my music can bring some positivity to another individual, that’s really what makes it worthwhile.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve with the solo career?
Tiaday :
At the moment, I plan to keep releasing singles and music videos until I have enough music out that I can tour with. I’m very driven in several music projects I’m in and am pursuing different avenues.

Twist Online : Working in the studio or performing on stage, What attracts your more?
Tiaday :
They’re pretty even to me! I love performing with bands and being on stage but I’ve also never performed solo. So I could have a different perspective later on.
