Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Introvert DAME : My name is Introvert DAME and I am an artist and songwriter. I am originally from Atlanta, GA but currently reside in Raleigh, NC.
I have been working on music for the past couple of years building my personal catalog and brand with the most patience.
I do everything myself from mixing, writing, distribution and more so patience is a virtue and the day will come where all my hard work will pay off.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Introvert DAME : What inspired me to get into the music industry was being a DJ since the age of 13.
I was always surrounded by music and the equipment, because of this, it is easy to cross over to different parts of the music industry such as, producing, recording and songwriting.
I started out wanting to work with and produce other artists and one day I still hope to, however, I found it hard to work with others who didn’t want to put in as much effort as me so I began my own career.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release No Perm ?
Introvert DAME : My recent release “No Perm” came about while riding and listening to one of the producers that I am currently following.
The whole song was created and centered around the phrase, “My girl ain’t got no perm, but I told her ass to relax”.
A play off of African American girls that are natural, “meaning that their hair is chemical free of harmful products, but, she needs to relax as if her hair had a perm.
Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Introvert DAME : I have received nothing but positive responses from my release for it being one of my most catchiest songs to date, as well as, the track.
Twist Online : Working in studios or performing on stage, what do you enjoy more?
Introvert DAME : I enjoy working in the studio more than performing on stage as you cannot perform on stage without working in the studio first,
Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Introvert DAME : The best part of being a music artist is being able to display your own creativity and produce a product that can change and/or have impact on other people’s lives.
Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Introvert DAME : Yes, I have many goals that I have achieved and still set out to achieve as I navigate through the music industry as an independent artist.
Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Introvert DAME : Yes, I am constantly and frequently working and releasing new music on a consistent basis.
