Its time to know more about White Kid Spits Fire
Sharing here our recent interview with artist White Kid Spits Fire (WKSF). His recent release Further – Closer (remix) has received so much attention.
Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers?
WKSF : My name is White Kid Spits Fire, I’m 26, I am a rapper from Trumbull, CT. My favorite food is my grandmothers stuffed shells.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into this profession?
WKSF : Since I was a kid I have always loved music. I was definitely an active child and was always singing or dancing to something. I think the biggest thing that inspires me to play is that fact that music can change the way someone thinks and feels. If I change one persons day or put a smile on someones face I have done my job. For me there is no better high than feeling the energy of a crowd on stage.
Twist Online : Your video Further – Closer (remix) is getting attention on YouTube. You must be excited about this?
WKSF: Yeah, I was blown away by the response! One of the Djs from WHUS (Uconn’s Station) liked the remix so much she messaged me and asked me to do an interview on her show. For me that song kind of symbolizes a change from my youtube days doing comedy music to becoming a more serious artist.
Twist Online : Are you working on any other new project? when it will be released?
WKSF : I am currently in the studio working on a new EP. I can’t really say much about it because I don’t have all of the details laid out yet but, the couple songs that are finished are definitely some of my best work to date.
Twist Online : Do you idolize someone in the music industry?
WKSF : It’s so hard for me to pick one single person. I love music and there are so many great artists out there killing it. I have said before that I’m a big fan of Brendon Urie, I used to listen Panic! At The Disco back in the myspace days and he is still writing in my opinion some of the most amazing tracks. My senior yearbook quote is a line from a Panic song.
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
WKSF : I think my music taste is kind of unique. I grew up listening to a lot of pop-punk so I love to jam out to some New Found Glory and Brand New. My playlists are a crazy mix ranging from hip-hop to metal. Music is really my passion so if something is good I gravitate to it no matter what genre its in, except country, not country.
Twist Online : What are your future goals as music artist?
WKSF : I want my music to make and impact on people. Like I said before, if my music makes someone feel something or changes the way someone thinks even just a little bit then I feel like I have done what I was put on this earth to do.
Twist Online : Are you active on social media? what’s the best way to follow you?
WKSF : I am a big social media person, if it exists I’m probably on it in some form. My snapchat is (Brianblackmore) and you can also follow me on twitter @brianblackmoree
