It’s time to know more about William Ellis of Wilhelmonics

Today on our Hot Seat we have an extremely talented artist William Ellis with us. Let’s have a chat with him.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
William Ellis : Hello, readers, I am William Ellis of Wilhelmonics.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
William Ellis : Music has always been an extremely important part of my life. No matter the time, no matter the setting, music always influenced my mood and thoughts. Music has always moved me in such a way that nothing else can. So, I really got into the music industry in hopes of moving someone in the same way that I’ve been moved, in the past. I want to create something that grasps someones’ heart-strings and makes a lasting impact on them; That’s my dream.

Twist Online : Tell us about your recently released debut album, “Arborheim.”?
William Ellis : “Arborheim” is my first full-length album. The album has a special place in my heart, as a lot of it’s contents have been written through very important times in my life. For instance, the first track was written in a time when I thought I should give up on music alltogether. I spoke to a close friend of mine, and he said, “If you’ve got a skill, use it, regardless of the outcome. Some of us aren’t so lucky as to have such a natural talent.” And those words hit me. I had a stroke of inspiration and wrote what would soon be called, “Gravitational Constant.” It was so much better than anything else I’d ever written and that gave me the strength to carry on and complete the album. Many of the songs in the album have similar stories. I put a lot of feeling into the album and I hope that feeling can be experienced by those who listen.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
William Ellis : To me, I think it’s been received quite well for a first release. One song in particular, “Forever Be The Clockwork Tree” has been received extremely well. I’ve recieved quite a few positive comments about the album and it’s almost to a total of 5k streams on Spotify (In about a months time). People seem to really enjoy it, for the most part, so I’m quite satisfied. I hope to go even beyond peoples expectations in my next release.

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
William Ellis : Definitely working in studios, but I’m most-likely always going to be a bedroom producer.

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
William Ellis : Either Classical or Powermetal. A stark contest, I know.

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
William Ellis : Yes, one goal is to get my music an appearance on a trailer of any sort. Another goal is to compose for an animated short of some kind. I hope to have news on those two goals very soon.

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
William Ellis : Yes, I am. I am currently working on a Halloween inspired project that I plan to release next month. Taking influences from progressive metal and classical Pipe Organ pieces, I’ve created some unique sound experiences that I think people will love.
