Grasshead is a multi-talented artist. He is an Emcee with insane lyricism and flow. His song “I Saw You” has been featured in the film “Paying Mr. McGetty” starring Marcus Taylor – and he also played a small cameo roll in the film. We are sharing our recent conversation with Grasshead.

Twist Online : First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Grasshead : What’s good my people!?…I’m Grasshead, GH, Of INT Records, The Intellect fame from FLA specifically Homestead, Dade County MIA that Dirty Place!
I’m an emcee, song writer, CEO, and entrepreneur that is changing the game for the better through fire music and a powerful message.

Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Grasshead : Well, I grew up with family having me listening to every genre of music ranging from oldies, to heavy metal, to reggae, to real Hip Hop and even Native American music. But most of all, it was the streets that exposed me to the culture and the sounds that would inspire my music for good.
I have always been a leader so at a young age I knew the music chose me, I didn’t choose the music, and my purpose was to lead through my art. At the age of 11 or so, I had a vision of INT RECORDS being the most successful underground record label around, and it was the struggle of growing up with very little, stuck in the hood, with a single mom, that inspired me to do music and never look back…my family had to eat and I followed God’s plan.

Twist Online : Your recent track “I Saw You” has been featured in the film “Paying Mr. McGetty”. Tell us more about that.
Grasshead : It’s crazy because ‘I Saw You’ is a track from my album Grasshead presents My High’z & My Low’z that was recently re-released on the new Grasshead Music SoundCloud & You Tube channels & can be purchased on iTunes, Google & everywhere else of course.
This track got scooped up and featured in the action/comedy “Paying Mr. McGetty” starring Marcos Taylor, who played Suge Knight in the movie Straight Outta Compton, and also starring Don The Dragon Wilson… directed and produced by Michael Baumgarten and James Wilson.
Good times for real! I’m truly blessed.

Twist Online : You also played a small cameo roll in the film. How was the experience?
Grasshead : Yes! They wanted my track I Saw You in the film in multiple scenes but then said we have a role for an upcoming recording artist who is trying to make it big with the star of the film, and they said why don’t you play Grasshead and make a cameo!…they even have my GH clothing shown throughout the film so the Grasshead logo is everywhere representing! The cast and crew are all family now and let me tell you this film is full of world renowned martial artists & sick music.
Just making moves my people!

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received?
Grasshead : The positive feedback has been incredible… from the support for the music & cameo, to the movie as a whole. We are getting on internet. luv and this is just the beginning.

Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Grasshead : Alright, well there’s nothing like stepping on stage and moving crowds with your voice and getting that real time confirmation that people are truly feeling your art that you’re putting on display.
But I am a lab rat at heart and grind on a whole different level than a lot of artists, working behind the scenes on so many dope projects.
Working in the studio writing, recording, rehearsing, creating… the energy is 1 of kind

Twist Online : Have you set some goals to achieve?
Grasshead : I’m a business man and family man, so my life is full of financial & personal goals that will be achieved by putting God 1st!

Twist Online : Are you working on any new project?
Grasshead : I haven’t stopped for years, working behind the scenes to make our dream a reality.
I’m focused on releasing my long awaited sophomore and most personal album Grasshead presents You Live & You Learn in the winter of this year 2017!
I’m also releasing a crazy amount of music that I’m giving to the fans to show my appreciation while I’ve been grinding behind the scenes, so they get Grashead presents The Secret Stash… and my new custom GH music in the Sony Crackle TV series STARTUP, season1 and 2 is on another level. Check out the new single BADA BING BAM BONG.
For the next 3 years the Grasshead Music fans will continue to get project after project of nothing but that real.
