Let’s Meet Lour Rose from Broke Boys
Today on our Hot Seat we have Lour Rose from rap/hip-hop group Broke Boys. Let’s have a chat.
Twist Online : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
Lou Rose : The start of my music career began sometime in October. I used to freestyle with friends just for fun but after moving to New York I linked up with some guys that take music serious and I thought why not. I started going to the studio everyday and learning alot from the people I was surrounded by. I’m still very new to the music industry and have alot to learn but I’m definatly making progress.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Lou Rose : I get inspired by all the successful musicans who came from nothing and still managed to make it in the industry. Jay-z is probably my biggest influnce. He came up from selling drugs and gun violence and is now one of the most successful businessmen/rappers alive or ever in that case.
Twist Online : Tell us about your music group “Broke Boys”?
Lou Rose : Broke Boys is a rap group/label headquarted in the Bronx, New York. Right now it consist of 3 rappers including myself. The other artist in my groups name is NM9 and Dom. NM9 has been rapping for a few years and has developed a following. He is a off the top rapper who never writes any of his lyrics only freestyles. Dom is a young rapper, who is still learning to perfect his craft and uses NM9 as a mentor. I manage the group and do all the promoting and marketing. I have a creative director who goes by the name of Richard Freddy. Me and him communicate on a daily basis on way to improve the image of the label, work on marketing techniques, and the overall success of the label. In the new year I plan on adding 3 new artist to the label, a producer and adding a support management company.
Twist Online :Tell us about your recent releases?
Lou Rose : Right now i have 2 current releases out right now “Backseat” and “Waves”. Backseat was released last night on Spinrilla under a company called “Underground Industry”. By releasing the song under them, it exposes the song to a different fan base and creates more interactions. Backseat is just one of those songs you want to listen to on max volume in the car. “Waves is a song that has been out for 10 days. It has been released on soundcloud and has over 100k views. The goal for this song is to go trending and rank on the soundcloud Top 50 for the week so we can get more views and fans from this. Both songs were recorded with my group member NM9.

Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Lou Rose : Rap/Hip-Hop hands down, although I’m a big fan of EDM music.
Twist Online : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
Lou Rose : Yes, I look to have an established brand by mid 2018 and to be known in the industry with a core following going into 2019.
Twist Online : Are you currently working on any other project?
Lou Rose : Yes, 2 projects. My groups project is dropping next month and has atleast 7 tracks. The name of it is “Broke Boyz Volume 1”. I’m also working on my independent mixtape with 10 tracks called “Testing Waters.” It’s a mixture of different types of Hip-Hop/Rap sounds to try and establish my style of music.
