Let’s meet naturally talented artist JSPH
We are sharing our recent interview with an inspiring artist Joseph who goes by the artist name JSPH .
Twist Online : First of all tell us about the start of your music career.
JSPH : I can’t remember making a conscious decision to “start”. I’ve realized that it was something that’s always just there.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
JSPH : It was an outlet. A way to tell my stories in a creative way that can touch people. I remember seeing tears come down my grandmas face when I was a kid when I’d sing a solo at church. I didn’t fully understand it at the time but that was the first time I realized the impact that music can have on people. She’s passed now but would whisper, “Keep singing. In my ear when she’d see me.”
Twist Online : Tell us about your release “Breathe?
JSPH : Breathe is a song that is about letting go of barriers and letting guards down. I was making music that was more introspective and a little darker prior to this release. Breathe was breaking out of that. S/O to Pharrell for the love on that one.
Twist Online : What about your upcoming project project, “Abide?
JSPH : Abide is a project I wrote in LA that is a culmination of everything I’ve done up to this point. It’s me being vulnerable and open and will let people in on who I am at the core.
Twist Online : What kind of response have you received from the release?
JSPH : It’s been humbling. Breathe has a few millions of streams and I get messages almost every day about it from all over the world. It charted in the top 5 internationally.
Twist Online : What attracts you more, Working in studios or performing on stage?
JSPH : I like both. Creating in general is what I love to do and sharing what I’ve worked on is a part of performing.
Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
JSPH : Being able to use words to tell a story and impact people.
Twist Online : Have you set any goals to achieve?
JSPH : My next goal is to get nominated for a Grammy and to keep creating. I also want to expand my company DreamCoat Entertainment and eventually sign other artists to it.
