Macey AP talks about his life and music
Today on our Hot Seat we have a talented artist Macey AP with us. Lets have a chat with him.
Twist Online : First of all tell us about the start of your professional career?
Macey AP : Starting out was the hardest you know, I’m pretty sure it is for anyone but I started writing music when I was 5 though. I wrote for about 10 years before actually recording , using free beats.
Twist Online : Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Macey AP : The money yeah , but just wanting to show people how creative and great I am at it you know. I live for this s***.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release red mask. It has done exceptionally well.
Macey AP : Yeah Red Mask was actually another record, but it wasn’t handled or released right so I wanted to make sure it ain’t go to waste. People love it though, it’s catchy, it shows I can rap, people can take whatever they want from it, I just hope it blows like I expect it too it’s doing numbers right now.
Twist Online : Are you working on any other project?
Macey AP : I’m working on one more single before the EP Sober Season finishes up my year.
Twist Online : What attracts you more, performing on stage or working in studios?
Macey AP : The studio attracts me because I feel good. I vibe with myself I can change the mood anytime I want, I can do what I want I just feel like myself when I’m there and that’s something some people won’t understand. It’s like a fiend when they get they drug.
Twist Online : Do you write songs for other artist as well?
Macey AP : Hard to believe I even do it but yes I ghost write for other people I only do it for a few but it’s easy sometimes to put myself in others view. It’s kind of a tough thing to do though.
Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Macey AP : Favorite genre is hip hop, mixed with rock and pop. My favorite band is Paramore I love music period.
Twist Online : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
Macey AP : My main goal right now is moving up on the pedestal. I have other goals set with numbers and quality but that’s more person. I want people to see My music as Me.
