Martone Talks About His New Album ‘Erogenous Zone’
Twist Online : Readers would like to know about your recent Album “Erogenous Zone’.
Martone : Well, the album is really all about love. Love for one’s self, love for others and of course there are some party tracks like Werk and Dance the Night With Me. Additionally, the project is also part autobiographical. It was three years in the making, literally blood, sweat, and tears. I am happy about the result.
Twist Online : 17 seems to be lucky for you, your album #TEOM also had 17 tracks?
Martone : Honestly, I just noticed that the other day. It was not something that was intentional, I know that I had some remixes that I wanted to put on this new project.
TEOM was more of a deluxe album – but I sure do hope that it is lucky.
Twist Online : Any particular track from the album that’s your favorite?
Martone : There are too many to name as they all hold some sort of specialness to my heart. But if the question would have been which ones would you like to perform it would be Inside Out, Erogenous Zone and All Through the Night.

Twist Online : What kind of response you have received from the release?
Martone : I have received a lot of positive feedback from my peers, and close friends. I was recently told that the project has a global appeal, and the order of the songs and subject matter told a story. I am just so happy that they get it!
Twist Online : Any plans of releasing music video of any of these tracks?
Martone : Of course I have plans for videos but my imagination is larger that my pocketbook at the moment (LOL). The great thing about this project is there are enough songs on it to work for a couple of years and of course there will be some remixes that will come out to ensure the longevity of the album.
Twist Online : What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Martone : For me, being an independent artist and deciding what topics I wish to sing about, and primarily writing my own material are a couple of great thing about being a music artist.
Twist Online : Performing on stage or working in studios, what do you enjoy more?
Martone : Sometimes, working in the studio can be a long drawn-out experience and if your voice is not cooperating with what you want to do can be a pain. Since, I have been singing and dancing since I was a kid, would have to say that performing is something I would enjoy more.
Twist Online : What’s up next?
Martone : Well, the album’s release date is scheduled for July 26, 2019, worldwide. I recently relocated back to Detroit so, I am in the process of planning some regional shows that will take place late fall/ early winter. Inside Out is the next single and will be released on August 22, 2019.
