Maxime impresses with his latest album ‘The Honest Me P1’

We love good music and spare no opportunity of listening and reviewing any latest release. And the most recent one we came across is ‘ The Honest Me P1 ’ by Maxime. Maxime is exceptionally talented sound engineer, producer and songwriter. Before moving on to the album let’s have an insight of his career till date.

Maxime Boublil was born in Paris, France, into a musical theater family. His father wrote Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, his mother was the first Cosette in Les Miserables in France. As a child, he played cello for eleven years but knew he never wanted to follow in his parents’ footsteps. Maxime studied photography at the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco and after a year realized that it wasn’t for him. He soon found what he was looking for when he walked into a friend’s dorm room one day and picked up their guitar.

Soon after, he switched his major to Music in Visual Media and started composing. Maxime eventually pursued a career as an engineer at “Furstock Studios” with three-time aria award-winning engineer Doug Brady, all the while writing his own songs on the side. Realizing he needed to do something with the over fifty songs he had written, he began to produce and record his own music.

Now coming back to the album it self. It’s a 7 track album. Even though all the 7 tracks are beautifully done but the one that impressed me so much is “ Look At Me Now ”. The track also features Sheryl. The song starts with a melodious and engaging tone. You will feel compelled to listen to the track. One thing you will feel not only in this track but throughout the album is dynamic and inspiring voice of Maxime and particularly in this track it also has a strong vocal projection. And the variation of his vocals makes it more interesting and appealing.

The next track that impressed me is “ Apologies ”. The track is simply done and not overly complex. The chorus is impressive, the pitch range varies, making it rich and engaging. Even though the track is just 2 and half minutes in duration but the impact is long lasting.

Overall the Album definitely is professional and creative. We find it extremely good and the artist definitely has talent and the music, lyrics and production everything has been done exceptionally well throughout this album. I would say listening to the music was a real entertainment and I am sure you would put it to repeat mode as well.
